Best Case
Clinton Hart was the #11 fantasy DB last season, his first as a starter, on the strength of his 68 tackles, 17 assists, and 5 interceptions. He will look to build on that success in 2008. Hart is a fine athlete with good hands and decent return skills. His five interceptions from a year ago is probably the upper end of what can be expected this season, but he could certainly end up with 65+ tackles again and another top 20 fantasy performance.
Worst Case
Hart has only a one-year track record as an NFL starter, so it may be too soon to proclaim him a fantasy starter. Many of his five interceptions last season came on tipped or deflected balls, where Hart happened to be in the right place at the right time, and fantasy owners should not count on that happening again with the same frequency. If Hart's INT total drops from five to one, he'll likely find himself outside the top 30 fantasy DBs. Possibly far outside.
Outlook
While Hart was the #11 fantasy DB a year ago, it would be optimistic to expect a repeat performance. He should be drafted as, at best, a DB3 in 2008.
