Outlook
Ellis has been a valuable member of the Jets defense for 8 years now and he's been productive playing in a variety of systems. While he won't likely return to his double digit sack totals that he put up in 2003 and 2004, Ellis is a good 2-way end who fits in well as a 3-4 DE with the Jets. His production over the past two years has been very consistent, but with expected improvement from the OLB spots and an upgrade at DT, he might be able to improve on those numbers this year. His upside is probably a top-30 DE, most likely making him a solid backup in most leagues.
