Best Case
With the suspension of Ben Roethlisberger last year Dixon began the season as the Steelers starting QB. He's shown flashes of playmaking ability during his time with the Steelers but no consistency. Dixon will battle with Charlie Batch in training camp for what is likely the final QB spot on the Steelers roster. He's unlikely to see the field again unless injuries strike in front of him on the depth chart (provided he makes the team).
Worst Case
Dixon is coming back from a knee injury that cost him most of last season. He was injured in week 2 of the 2010 season against the Titans and put on Injured Reserve a few weeks later. Dixon is on the roster bubble this year and will have to beat out Charlie Batch to earn his keep.
Outlook
Dixon's NFL future is very cloudy. He's extremely athletic, but fails to show consistency as a passer. If he makes the Steelers roster we don't think he'll do much more than hold a clipboard.
