2007 Game Summaries

Week 1 - Crumpler had a quiet afternoon with three of his targets coming in the first quarter, and two in the fourth quarter. He was Joey Harrington's first target of the afternoon, making an eight yard reception on first down after Harrington escaped a sack. Later on the same drive, Crumpler made a nine yard reception on a third and 19. In the second quarter, Crumpler converted a third and nine with a 14 yard reception. Crumpler was quiet then until he made two fourth quarter receptions.

Week 2 - Crumpler began the game on a good note by turning a short pass into a 35 yard gain by breaking several tackles and showing impressive speed, but was not featured much afterwards. His first second half target did not come until there was less than four minutes remaining in the game.

Week 3 - Crumpler was targeted six times in the game. He caught all six passes for 63 yards and a score. With Atlanta at the Carolina 19 yard line, Harrington hit Crumpler for a six yard pass. On the next play, he caught a short pass and was able to score after he broke a tackle at the ten yard line. Overall, Crumpler got four red zone targets in the game.

Week 4 - Crumpler was only targeted in the first half, and was used exclusively on short routes; He attacked defenders after he secured the ball, taking them head on as they tried to tackle him.

Week 5 - The Titans were able to shut down Crumpler, though he was the receiver Byron Leftwich was trying to get the ball to in the back of the end zone late in the game from nine yards out.

Week 6 - Crumpler criticized his team after week's game, questioning the play-calling and accusing the new coaching staff of favoring young players over veterans. He only had one catch for nine yards in the first half and had no catches in the second half. He did have a drop on easy catch on a third quarter drive.

Week 9 - Crumpler was inactive due to injury (knee/ankle).

Week 10 - Crumpler caught just two passes in the game. His first pass was in the first quarter for nine yards and a first down. He didn't see another target until just 26 seconds left in the game. Harrington hit him on a short pass over the middle and when he turned up the field, he split two defenders and went the rest of the way to the end zone for a 30 yard touchdown.

Week 11 - Crumpler was targeted six times in the game, finishing with three receptions for 28 yards.

Week 12 - Crumpler had a quiet game, catching only three of the seven balls thrown his way for a whopping 14 yards. All three of his receptions came on the last drive of the game for the Falcons in the fourth quarter.

Week 13 - Crumpler had a pretty good day, and his presence in the passing game also allowed Roddy White to flourish. A healthy Crumpler does a lot for this team offensively.

Week 14 - Crumpler was targeted quite a bit but only yielded three receptions for 16 yards. He seemed a bit sluggish running across the field.

Week 15 - Crumpler had a quiet day, with zero receptions on just one target.

Week 16 - Crumpler caught a seven yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. It was one of only two catches on the day.

Week 17 - Crumpler was strangely ignored entirely in the first half. When Redman did call his number, he was rewarded with back to back touchdowns. His 55 yard catch and run TD also was the beginning of three quick scores that gave the Falcons the lead for good.
