Chiefs | Jonathan Baldwin seems to be top choice for No. 2 WR job (Thu May 16, 07:37 PM) - Kansas City Chiefs WR Jonathan Baldwin appears to be the favorite for the No. 2 wide receiver job at this point but has not emerged as the dominant offseason player like he was last offseason. WRs Donnie Avery, Dexter McCluster and Terrance Copper are also expected to be candidates for the job.

Our View: Baldwin has the skill set to be a top 32 WR in the game today. He's failed to play up to his potential as a pro but he could be re-energized under new head coach Andy Reid. With Dwayne Bowe taking the attention of the defense away the WR2 is going to see plenty of single coverage.

2012 Game Summaries

Week 10 - Copper's first target came on the Chiefs' final drive when Matt Cassel threw into double coverage deep down the left sideline.

Week 11 - Copper was Quinn’s favorite target in the second half and showed good hands when given the opportunity. He ran two crisp hitch routes and fought hard for extra yardage after the catch.

Week 12 - Copper had two catches in traffic on balls that were not very well placed. He did well on both to adjust his body and make the grab but had no chance to get up the field after the catch because of the inaccurate throws.

Week 14 - Copper made a really nice move on Haden on his deep hitch move and then spun up field for additional yardage. The 17 yard gain was nearly broken for a score but he was tripped up as he turned. He also made a nice diving catch on a perfectly placed 8 yard out.
