Best Case

Todd Collins knows his role, but keeps himself in great shape and proved two years ago that he can still win games as a starter. In the event Jason Campbell gets hurt, Collins could step in and throw 200+ yards per game and complete a high percentage. He won't be a fantasy star, but he could help the Redskins stay competitive as the team relies on its ground attack.

Worst Case

Having Todd Collins as the backup made a lot more sense when Al Saunders was calling the plays, but now that Washington is running the West Coast offense, Collins is a fish out of water, an OLD fish out of water. He could easily never see the field, particularly if Colt Brennan impresses the coaches enough to warrant the QB2 spot.

Outlook

Jason Campbell doesn't appear to be untouchable so you can never rule out a switch if Campbell struggles early. That said, we wouldn't expect fantasy worthy numbers from Collins or the Redskins receivers if he has to step in under center. Against lower tier defenses, Collins could be a spot starter in 2QB leagues, but otherwise, let him stay on waivers.
