Outlook
After three solid seasons of production in New York, Coleman fell out of favor with the coaching staff in 2007 and was benched in favor of Abram Elam. Now, with a good chance at earning the starting FS job in Atlanta, Coleman should be back on the radar of IDP owners. Coleman had two seasons of 70+ solo tackles before 2007, but may struggle to hit that plateau in what should be a primarily deep cover role this year. If Coleman struggles in coverage, rookie Thomas DeCoud could work his way into a rotational role. It's probably not safe to roster Coleman as a starter until his role is clearly defined and he's stable in the lineup. Consider him in the later rounds as a DB5 with upside.
