Game Summaries
Week 5 at MIN - Bartel came in for the final series of the game. He checked down to Early Doucet and Rob Housler for all of his passes. He was clearly just thrown to the wolves here and was not on the same page as his receivers. His interception was a deep pass over the middle that was well overthrown and picked off. He is not a viable backup solution to Kolb right now.Week 11 at SF - Bartel came in for garbage time and looked like a 3rd string QB. He often just threw the underneath route and wasn't too threatening to 49ers top ranked defense. Bartel was able to find Fitzgerald for a TD but that could have easily been an interception. On the play he threw into double coverage, and the ball went right through the hands of the 49ers defender and into Fitz's for the TD.
