Best Case
Asomhgha had a huge '06 season with 8 interceptions and a ranking among the top 15 fantasy corners. Last season his totals plummeted as opponents were better able to avoid him. The addition of DeAngelo Hall should put an end to that. There is little doubt that Asomugha will have more opportunity this season. If he capitalizes on it we could see 50 solo tackles and 3-5 picks. Those numbers would make him a viable option for owners in corner required leagues.
Worst Case
Despite the 8 picks in '06, Asomguha has just 9 total to show for three years as a starter. He's a very good cover man but the jury remains out on him as a playmaker. He doesn't make a lot of tackles so without the big plays Asomugha has little value.
Outlook
It look a lot like Asomugha was a 1 year wonder in '06. The addition of Hall is a plus that will grant more opportunity but we shouldn't count on much. If you are in a deep league that requires corners he might be worthy as a late round backup. Otherwise we should take a wait and see stance.
