Flynn really impressed at the beginning of the second half. He made a smart play on a rollout, waiting until the linebacker committed to him before dumping the ball to the nearby tight end for a first down. As with Rodgers, Flynn was also the victim of some bad bounces. Two good (but incomplete) throws to Jennings, including one in the end zone that was arguably worthy of a challenge, conspired to keep the Packers off the board. That was the story of his, and the Packers, second half: close but no cigar. Flynn engineered one long drive with seeming ease, picking the defense apart as he marched his team down the field, only to throw directly into the hands of a Detroit linebacker in the end zone. He didn't show the best accuracy on deep throws but on every pass, he gave his receivers a chance. He also showed decent mobility, along with good awareness of the first down marker when he had to scramble.
Passing: 24 - 37, 251 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
Rushing: 3 / 13 / 0
For the vast majority of the game the young signal caller was fantastic under center for the Packers. He essentially executed the game plan with control and confidence. Flynn nearly led the Packers to a late win but his inexperience showed up as he mismanaged the clock as time expired. He spread the ball around pretty well and looked fine when he had time to go through his progressions, when hurried not so much. Flynn's threw a pick six to start the 2nd half when his WR was cut off on his route by the Pats Patrick Chung. Flynn looked the part of a starting NFL QB in week 15.
