Week 2 vs. STL

Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 2 targets

Thomas was targeted on a hard pass from Jason Campbell at the goal line, a very tough pass to snare. Thomas was barely open so Campbell had to try and force it in, but to no avail. The big takeaway here is that Thomas was on the field in the red zone and that Campbell looked in his direction.

Week 5 vs. CAR

Receiving: 3 / 19 / 0 on 4 targets

Thomas rotated with Malcolm Kelly on the Redskins 3 and 4-wide sets, finishing the game with 3 catches for 19 yards. Thomas was also targeted on a deep pass by Campbell but was well defended by Julius Peppers, who had dropped back in to coverage on the play.

Week 6 vs. KC

Rushing: 1 / 2 / 0
Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 2 targets

WR Devin Thomas had one carry for two yards on a reverse from Clinton Portis in the fourth quarter, but his biggest play came in the first quarter. Thomas was open enough to go deep for about a 50-yard pass play but caught the ball out of bounds and it was ruled an incompletion. Thomas is not doing enough consistently to be more than a third receiver for the Redskins, which has zero fantasy impact right now.

Week 7 vs. PHI

Receiving: 3 / 45 / 1 on 4 targets

Thomas had a breakout game of sorts. He caught the Redskins first TD of the game in the back of the end zone, and the speed and moves that made him a high second-round pick were on display on a quick screen pass that was a lot like the plays he excelled at while at Michigan State. Thomas did have one drop, but his hold on the starting job opposite Santana Moss is secure.

Week 9 vs. ATL

Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 2 targets

Thomas was well-covered on his first downfield target, and then he dropped his second target when he was trying to run before he secured the ball, and he was barely heard from again in the game. The momentum he built with a solid week 7 Monday Night Football performance has already petered out.

Week 10 vs. DEN

Receiving: 2 / 37 / 0 on 4 targets

The Redskins didn't take many shots downfield, instead they chose to pass short and let their receivers pick up yards after the catch. In the fourth quarter Thomas hauled in a smoke route where he initially made Andre Goodman miss the tackle at the line of scrimmage. He turned up field and found lots of running room, and twisted and turned his way down field --- making five other Broncos miss tackles along the way.

Week 11 vs. DAL

Receiving: 3 / 33 / 0 on 7 targets

Thomas drew the start once again for the Redskins but caught just three passes in Week 11 against Dallas. Thomas' highlight was a 26-yard gain in the first quarter after Jason Campbell scrambled around long enough for Thomas to break open. Washington is struggling to make big plays down the field, limiting all receiving options and their upside going forward. Thomas does have more value in kick return leagues as he did return two kickoffs for over 50 combined yards.

Week 12 vs. PHI

Receiving: 4 / 46 / 0 on 6 targets

Devin Thomas started once again for the Redskins against Philadelphia but he is not stepping up to perform at a very high level for Washington. Thomas led all receivers with 46 yards thanks mostly to his 35-yard catch in the third quarter, a big play where QB Jason Campbell scrambled around and bought enough time to find Thomas for the long gain. With Antwaan Randle El and Fred Davis getting good target numbers, Thomas' fantasy value is not very high despite his starting wide receiver label.

Week 13 vs. NO

Receiving: 7 / 100 / 2 on 7 targets

Thomas's breakout game was a big one, and he finally looked like the strong, fast receiver he was back at Michigan State. Thomas drew a long pass interference to start the game, and a big hit on his first reception seemed to really wake him up. Thomas caught two deep balls, including one that could have been an even bigger gain if he hadn't fallen down. He also scored twice on plays designed for him in the red zone. Once, he came all the way across the formation and dove for the pylon, and on the second he tightroped the sidelines and broke a few tackles. Thomas looked a like a beast in this one and he is emerging as the primary option for Jason Campbell.

Week 14 vs. OAK

Rushing: 1 / -4 / 0
Receiving: 2 / 38 / 0 on 5 targets

Thomas had a quiet follow up to his breakout game last week. He was targeted on a deep pattern in the end zone that garnered a pass interference call, but otherwise had a ho-hum day as he and his QB are still building chemistry.

Week 15 vs. NYG

Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 2 targets

Thomas caught a nice slant route in the 2nd quarter, but was called back due to a penalty. He left the game a short time later with an ankle sprain.
