Receiving: 1 / 6 / 0 on 1 targets
Porter made his season debut but was only involved in one pass play, a short pass that he caught. He was on the field for several plays, but was only targeted once.
Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 2 targets
Porter dropped one of the passes thrown his way and did not get enough separation on his other target, which enabled his defender to deflect the ball.
Receiving: 2 / 38 / 0 on 4 targets
Porter was not thrown the ball until the second half, and had some opportunities to make big plays. He showed excellent leaping ability and hands in catching a deep pass along the sideline while being covered. Porter was also the intended target on a two point conversion play towards the end of the game, but was well defended.
Receiving: 2 / 33 / 1 on 4 targets
WR Jerry Porter only caught two passes but one of them was a touchdown pass from QB David Garrard.
Receiving: 2 / 24 / 0 on 7 targets
Porter was targeted five times in the first half but apart from a good catch made while being tightly covered, did not do much to distinguish himself. He was targeted once in the end zone, but the pass was too wide for him to catch it.
Receiving: 1 / 14 / 0 on 3 targets
Porter caught a 14 yard pass on Jacksonville's third possession. It was his last catch of the afternoon. He had a short pass negated by a penalty and was also targeted near the end zone (an uncatchable pass), but was very quiet aside from that. He was thrown to just once in the entire second half.
Receiving: 2 / 39 / 0 on 5 targets
Porter had a 32 yard catch near the start of the third quarter wiped out because of a penalty. His long reception of the game went for 33 yards and came with just under two minutes remaining in the game. Porter was targeted in the end zone with the Jaguars operating from the Houston five yard line, but the pass was overthrown. The wide out didn't help out his quarterback when he had a third down pass that would have went for a first down bounce off his hands.
Receiving: 1 / 27 / 0 on 3 targets
Jerry Porter has some nice receptions and one very nice long pass. He was hit hard in coverage on two targets. Coach Jack Del Rio says that Porter is a totally different person now. Porter definitely has not given up and played very hard in a losing effort.
