Week 1 vs. TEN

Receiving: 3 / 29 / 0 on 4 targets

Lewis was the only tight end targeted in the game. He caught all four of his targets, but one of them was ruled incomplete as the officials said he trapped the ball on the field. On that play as well as his other receptions, he showed a good ability to get open by running good routes and using his length to go after the passes.

Week 2 vs. BUF

Receiving: 1 / 13 / 0 on 2 targets

The Jaguars were expecting a break out year for Lewis, but so far injuries along the offensive line have limited his role. He is a monstrous target who should be more involved.

Week 3 vs. IND

Receiving: 2 / 21 / 0 on 4 targets

Lewis was the only tight end targeted in the game, and caught both of his targets. His receptions were for first downs.

Week 4 vs. HOU

Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 4 targets

Lewis dropped each pass thrown to him. Although he was very well covered on one of the plays, the ball hit his hands on each of his targets. Garrard continued to show faith in him and kept throwing his way if he became open.

Week 5 vs. PIT

Receiving: 1 / 24 / 1 on 4 targets

Lewis connected on a 24 yard TD catch when he got behind the Steelers zone. He did not make another catch.

Week 6 vs. DEN

Receiving: 3 / 64 / 1 on 5 targets

Lewis caught three balls, two of which went for long gains. He first caught a 27 yard pass where he found himself wide open across the middle of the field. Later, he scored Jacksonville's final touchdown of the afternoon when Garrard found him for a 30 yard touchdown. Lewis caught the pass about five yards out of the end zone, but bounced off of two tacklers to get the ball in for the touchdown.

Week 8 vs. CLE

Receiving: 3 / 34 / 0 on 6 targets

Lewis proved adept at getting open both for short and intermediate routes. He did however drop a pass that was catchable.

Week 9 vs. CIN

Receiving: 4 / 38 / 0 on 5 targets

Lewis displayed good hands in catching some tough passes. He also had a couple of targets in the red zone, getting knocked out of bounds at the three yard line, and having a pass deflected as he broke open in the end zone.

Week 10 vs. DET

Receiving: 4 / 64 / 0 on 8 targets

TE Marcedes Lewis was one of QB David Garrard's favorite targets in the win.

Week 11 vs. TEN

Receiving: 1 / 19 / 0 on 2 targets

Lewis could have had a slightly bigger impact as he caught a pass that would have picked up a first down but his left foot was out of bounds as he caught the ball.

Week 12 vs. MIN

Receiving: 4 / 41 / 0 on 7 targets

Lewis missed a golden opportunity for a nice fantasy game when he dropped what would have been a sure three yard touchdown right at the goal line. He also lost an 18 yard reception early in the fourth quarter when the play was negated by a holding penalty. As it stands, he had a solid game but he was inches away from what could have been a big-time performance.

Week 13 vs. HOU

Receiving: 2 / 37 / 0 on 2 targets

Lewis' first catch came in the third quarter and went for a gain of 17 yards. He followed that up with a nice grab on a low pass that went for a pickup of 20.

Week 14 vs. CHI

Receiving: 4 / 43 / 0 on 8 targets

Marcedes Lewis was the second leading receiver on the day. He had two receptions that he lost on great defensive plays. He was pushing hard to get the ball all day.

Week 15 vs. GB

Receiving: 2 / 7 / 0 on 3 targets

Lewis was used on short routes and had a minimal impact.

Week 16 vs. IND

Receiving: 6 / 55 / 0 on 7 targets

Inconsistency again plagued Lewis, as he caught six balls for 55 yards but dropped the one pass that would have really gone for big yardage on his second target of the game. It was a perfectly-thrown pass that just went right through his hands. It should be noted, however, that David Garrard never stopped looking to him despite the early drop.
