Receiving: 6 / 51 / 1 on 9 targets
The one, positive, nugget of happenings that you could garner from the Patriots perspective on Sunday would be Jabar Gaffney's solid 51 yard, one TD game. While everyone else on offense was fine and producing the first two weeks, Gaffney was invisible. When everyone on the offense save for Wes Welker couldn't seem to do anything right, he decides to bust out and officially arrive to the regular season. Gaffney got the second most targets on the team and looked to be a favorite of QB Matt Cassel.
Receiving: 3 / 35 / 0 on 3 targets
WR Jabar Gaffney caught two passes for a first down in the victory but remains the third receiving option behind WR Randy Moss and WR Wes Welker.
Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 1 targets
Gaffney's only target of the game fell incomplete.
Receiving: 1 / 17 / 0 on 2 targets
Gaffney caught one pass early in the game, and then went missing.
Receiving: 1 / 11 / 0 on 3 targets
WR Jabar Gaffney let a well thrown wide open touchdown pass go through his hands in the second half. The Patriots were forced to settle for a field goal following that drop. Otherwise, Gaffney was not a big part of the offense.
Receiving: 4 / 36 / 0 on 5 targets
Gaffney has a situational role in this offense which sees his production fluctuate from game to game. Three of his five targets came in the fourth quarter and finished the game with four balls for 36 yards.
Receiving: 7 / 86 / 1 on 11 targets
Gaffney was working primarily out of the slot. When the Jets doubled Moss and Welker, Gaffney got single coverage and took advantage of it. He also benefitted from two prevent situations both at the end of the half as well at the end of the game. This is where a lot of his yards came from. Gaffney caught his touchdown at the end of the half where he simply ran past the Jets defender for an easy score. Also of note, Gaffney had one dropped ball and caught a two point conversion.
Receiving: 5 / 88 / 0 on 8 targets
Gaffney had an excellent day, as all five of his catches were of 15 yards or more. He had a big first half and then was only targeted once in the second.
Receiving: 1 / 2 / 0 on 3 targets
Gaffney had a drop and did not catch a pass in the second half. He was never a factor.
Receiving: 4 / 48 / 0 on 9 targets
Gaffney was targeted nine times and finished with four receptions for 48 yards.
Receiving: 5 / 90 / 0 on 7 targets
Gaffney was the Patriots' main offensive threat in the first half. Gaffney had a 37 yard catch to set up the Patriots third touchdown on the day. He finished the day with 90 yards on five receptions. It was his best output of the season.
