Week 2 vs. WAS

Receiving: 1 / 12 / 0 on 2 targets

In a mild surprise, back up TE Campbell had as many targets as counterpart Jeremy Shockey. On his lone catch he showed excellent hands and was able to hold onto the ball while surrounded in coverage.


Week 4 vs. SF

Receiving: 1 / 6 / 0 on 1 targets

The second tight end for the Saints offense was Mark Campbell. He only saw one pass thrown his way and he came up limping after the reception.


Week 5 vs. MIN

Receiving: 3 / 39 / 0 on 4 targets

Campbell was the tight end behind Billy Miller.


Week 6 vs. OAK

Receiving: 3 / 37 / 1 on 3 targets

The veteran tight end caught the Saints' last touchdown of the afternoon in the fourth quarter. He was shaken up earlier in the game and had to be helped to the sidelines, but returned and was rewarded. His TD came from the two yard line off play action as he was able to drift out into the corner of the end zone.


Week 7 vs. CAR

Receiving: 1 / 8 / 0 on 1 targets

With Shockey returning to the lineup Campbell was relegated to third string. He was targeted once in the third quarter.


Week 8 vs. SD

Receiving: 2 / 14 / 1 on 2 targets

Campbell was the recipient of a one yard touchdown off play-action but was quiet other than that.


Week 11 vs. KC

Receiving: 1 / 5 / 0 on 2 targets

Campbell caught one pass for five yards. He was injured on the play as the cornerback barreled into his legs and hyper extended his knee. The extent of the injury remains to be seen.
