Week 1 vs. TEN

Receiving: 4 / 57 / 0 on 9 targets

Northcutt was Garrard's favorite receiver in this game and could have posted better numbers. He was overthrown a couple of times but also dropped some passes that appeared he should have caught. Northcutt showed very good speed and quickness and was able to get open several times throughout the game. Seven of his nine targets came in the second half.


Week 2 vs. ATL

Receiving: 5 / 75 / 0 on 6 targets

Northcutt was only targeted once in the first half, but took advantage of the passes thrown his way in the second half to post some pretty good numbers. He displayed very good speed and quickness and was able to get open several times throughout the game. He was the most targeted Jaguars receiver for the second consecutive week.


Week 3 vs. DEN

Rushing: 2 / 9 / 0
Receiving: 2 / 37 / 0 on 2 targets

Northcutt caught both passes that were thrown his way and also ran two end arounds for minimal yardage.


Week 5 vs. KC

Receiving: 4 / 73 / 1 on 7 targets

Northcutt was used mostly on intermediate routes, which he ran well, complimenting with good hands. The passes that he did not catch were either underthrown or intentionally overthrown. Northcutt showed good speed on the one route he was asked to run deep and caught the pass although he was hit as he caught it.


Week 6 vs. HOU

Receiving: 4 / 46 / 0 on 6 targets

The Jaguars set Northcutt in the slot to get away from CB Dunta Robinson's coverage. Northcutt is a sure handed veteran receiver who seems to have gained the confidence of Garrard.


Week 7 vs. IND

Receiving: 3 / 20 / 0 on 7 targets

The first four passes directed to Northcutt came from Garrard in the first 18 minutes of the game. Gray then threw his first INT on a pass to Northcutt, and like Wilford, Northcutt then disappeared until the fourth quarter, when Gray began looking for him on the final Jacksonville drive of the game. One of the fourth quarter attempts came in the red zone.


Week 8 vs. TB

Rushing: 1 / 5 / 0
Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 2 targets

Northcutt was not used much, and was overthrown on both of his targets, one of which was a long pass in the end zone. He also ran a reverse for minimal gain.


Week 9 vs. NO

Rushing: 1 / 1 / 0
Receiving: 1 / 15 / 1 on 3 targets

Northcutt was used mostly on intermediate routes, and one reverse running play. He was the primary receiver on the one reception he made, where he turned a short pass in the red zone into a touchdown by utilizing his shiftiness to elude defenders and get into the end zone.


Week 10 vs. TEN

Rushing: 1 / 8 / 0
Receiving: 1 / 4 / 0 on 2 targets

Northcutt was not used much, and did not have a pass thrown to him in the first half. His only reception came on a fourth and two play in the fourth quarter to keep a late drive going. Northcutt also ran a reverse for a first down that was called back due to penalty.


Week 11 vs. SD

Receiving: 3 / 36 / 0 on 5 targets

Northcutt showed he still has some nice open-field moves both on his receptions and with his special teams play. Still, his value forward is limited in that the Jaguars don't have a true number one option in the passing game.


Week 12 vs. BUF

Receiving: 5 / 65 / 0 on 6 targets

Northcutt was one of four Jacksonville receivers who gained at least 50 yards. He finished with five balls for a team high 65 yards.


Week 13 vs. IND

Rushing: 1 / 4 / 0
Receiving: 4 / 37 / 1 on 4 targets

Northcutt was used mostly on intermediate routes, which he ran well. He saw most of his action in the red zone, with three of his targets coming there. One of them was a pass he caught just outside the goal line, but was stopped before he could get in. He was also used on an end around play inside the red zone.


Week 14 vs. CAR

Receiving: 3 / 37 / 0 on 5 targets

Northcutt caught three passes for 37 yards. His big play was a 27 yard catch down to the Carolina 20 yard line. It led to a field goal. Later, on a third and five, Northcutt caught a three yard pass to the Carolina two yard line.


Week 15 vs. PIT

Receiving: 4 / 81 / 1 on 7 targets

Northcutt was Jacksonville's most targeted receiver and led the Jaguars with 81 receiving yards. He was well-covered on his 55 yard touchdown grab, but Anthony Smith got turned around and lost the ball; Northcutt had an easy score.


Week 16 vs. OAK

Receiving: 1 / 18 / 0 on 2 targets

Northcutt looked good with limited looks, and also handled punt returns.


Week 18 vs. PIT

Receiving: 1 / 17 / 0 on 3 targets

Northcutt was targeted three times on the night, catching one of them for 17 yards. One of the other passes was intercepted. He also served as the punt returner and had a nice 16 yard return before Jacksonville's game winning drive.


Week 19 vs. NE

Receiving: 4 / 42 / 0 on 8 targets

Northcutt was used mostly on intermediate routes, which he ran well. Of the three targets that were not caught, one was a result of him being overthrown although he was wide open for a good gain, while he dropped the other two, one of which was a couple of yards outside the end zone.
