Receiving: 7 / 83 / 0 on 10 targets
Coming off a preseason injury and questionable for most of the week, Stokley made his presence felt and performed much like his career year last year. Playing out of the slot as is the norm, Stokley was matched up predominantly against CB Deion Sanders, although Ed Reed matched up against him at times. He had a long reception of 28 yards, but was targeted on a number of quick hitch passes in short yardage situations.
Receiving: 2 / 24 / 0 on 5 targets
Stokley's production suffered this week along with the other receivers due to Manning's performance. He had two catches for 24 yards compared to last week's seven receptions for 83 yards. Stokley had a couple of his targets sail over his head that could have helped his fantasy numbers slightly.
Receiving: 1 / 9 / 0 on 1 targets
Stokley caught a pass for nine yards early in the game, and was never looked to again.
Stokley did get on the field for a few plays, but was never thrown to ending the day with zero targets. The Colts played a lot of two TE sets with Clark in the slot where Stokley usually plays. This is definitely an alarming change for Stokley owners. It's to be seen whether teams continue to force Indianapolis into the two TE sets but if they do, expect similar opportunities to what he saw this game.
Receiving: 6 / 59 / 0 on 8 targets
Unlike prior weeks where Stokley was rarely even on the field, Manning looked for him all day with Harrison struggling. Stokley came alive in the second half leading the team in targets, and finding ways to be the open receiver. Stokley lost a reception for an eight yard gain on a holding penalty on the last Colts' possession of the half.
Receiving: 4 / 38 / 0 on 5 targets
Stokley made a few nice catches in the game, but was clearly fourth in line behind Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, and Reggie Wayne.
Receiving: 1 / 24 / 0 on 5 targets
Stokley's lone pass reception came in the first quarter, when Manning hit him with a 24 yards strike that set up the Colts' first score of the game.
Receiving: 4 / 34 / 0 on 6 targets
Stokley contributed from his third wide out role with 34 yards on four receptions.
Receiving: 6 / 73 / 1 on 9 targets
This was one of those weeks for Stokley. With Manning spreading the offense, and moving the ball at will, Stokley enjoyed one of his better games. Every time Manning looked for Stokley, he was finding ways to get open and make separation. Stokley seemed to just run by defenders and get space in the defensive backfield on go routes. He also was able to slide across the center of the defense virtually untouched from the slot to pick up yards.
Receiving: 2 / 40 / 0 on 3 targets
Coming off a huge game last week, Stokley was not effective for the offense this week. In the first half, when Manning was spreading the ball, Stokley was targeted a respectable three times. In the second half, Manning only targeted Stokley once. He made the most of his two receptions taking them for 24 and 16 yards.
Receiving: 1 / 8 / 0 on 2 targets
Stokley had a nice eight yard snag.
Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 1 targets
Stokley was targeted early with the third pass in the game, but failed to convert. From there, the Colts played more two TE sets than normal, and gave the ball to James for the entire second half.
Receiving: 0 / 0 / 0 on 2 targets
Stokley was not a factor, and only had one ball thrown to him, which fell incomplete.
Receiving: 5 / 122 / 0 on 6 targets
Stokley led the Colts' receivers with five receptions for 122 yards. His first target of the game was for a 22 yard reception and a third down conversion near the end of the first half. Stokley made a sharp 30 yard reception over the middle in the fourth quarter. He made another catch for 16 yards. After a 45 yard reception, Stokley was seen being given medical attention on the sidelines.
