Week 1 vs. CAR
Rushing: 26 / 64 / 2
Receiving: 2 / 5 / 0 on 2 targets
McAllister was the primary workhorse for the Saints' offense, as he carried the ball 26 times on the day. McAllister was used heavily on the Saints' first series, which culminated in a yard touchdown run between the tackles. McAllister's second touchdown came on a two yard run between the tackles. McAllister was unable to break a big run against the Panthers, but he was effective at wearing down their defense nonetheless. He also saw plenty of action in the red zone. In addition to his two touchdowns, McAllister received five straight carries inside the Panthers' ten yard line during one second half series.
Week 2 vs. NYG
Rushing: 15 / 47 / 0
Receiving: 6 / 44 / 0 on 6 targets
McAllister finished the game with only 47 rushing yards on 15 carries. He had a six yard carry brought back on a holding penalty. He had two carries of nine yards, but most of his yardage was gained on one and two yard rushes and he found few holes against the Giants' front. McAllister's involvement in the receiving game brought his total yards up to 91 with 44 yards on six receptions. He made two receptions near the end of the first half one for ten yards, the second for 22 yards.
Week 3 vs. MIN
Rushing: 14 / 63 / 1
Receiving: 4 / 19 / 0 on 4 targets
McAllister seems to always suffer from the team's inability to stop opposing teams from putting them in a quick deficit, and the same thing happened with Minnesota. When his number was called, he did make the most of it, rushing for 63 yards and one TD on 14 carries, and he caught all four passes thrown his way for 19 yards. His TD came in the fourth quarter on a one yard run following a pass interference call on Minnesota in the end zone. McAllister got the Saints inside the Vikings' ten yard line with a 13 yard run.
Week 4 vs. BUF
Rushing: 27 / 130 / 0
Receiving: 2 / 16 / 0 on 3 targets
McAllister started slowly but ended up being a big factor in the game. After being held to 28 yards on ten carries in the first half, McAllister become more of a factor as the Bills' defense tired. He was responsible for around half of the Saints' first downs, and had a stretch late in the game where he ran for first downs on four consecutive plays, the last of which went for 26 yards. McAllister did not score a touchdown, but did have carries from the three yard line and then the two on one drive, before it stalled resulting in a field goal. He caught two passes in the game, including an 11 yard reception for a first down. Another drive stalled when McAllister dropped an easy pass on third down.
Week 5 vs. GB
Rushing: 11 / 31 / 0
Receiving: 3 / 33 / 0 on 3 targets
McAllister started off the game with a couple of decent runs and two screen passes that led to the Saints getting a field goal. Deuce McAllister ended with just 31 yards on 11 carries, leaving the game in the third quarter with a right knee sprain. McAllister also added 33 yards in receiving yards.
Additional Update: FOX Sports is reporting that McAllister has a torn ACL and may miss the rest of the season. The team will have additional testing before making a move but it looks bad as of Monday afternoon. Antowain Smith would likely take over as the #1 RB
