Michael Bennett didn't see a ton of action in the game, but he looked good running the ball. He was finding holes wherever they opened up, but his limited workload didn't allow him to get into any kind of running rhythm. Interestingly, it was the undersized Sproles and not Bennett who was given the ball up the middle on the Chargers' final offensive play of the game.

Bennett fought hard for yardage, but there just wasn't much there to be had. He was slippery at times, bouncing off of would-be tacklers for a couple of solid gains and he nearly always seemed able to fall forward to pick up another yard or two. He didn't get into the open field to show that burst he's had in the past, but he looked stronger than usual in this one.

Bennett got all the work after Tomlinson sat, and while the offensive line didn't let him get in a rhythm with consistent push, he still affected the outcome of the game. Bennett got free for a long gain on a well-blocked screen to help in the 4th quarter comeback, and he also had good gains on a draw and another reception deep in Redskins territory on the game-winning drive. Bennett did have an unsuccessful attempt to score the game-winning TD on first and goal, but his touches on the drive helped the Chargers get their 11th straight win.
