| 1 | Drew Brees | NO | show |
[Jun 4th] Mark Wimer says: Now that Sean Payton is back at the helm in New Orleans, I expect to see Brees dominate on the field during 2013.

| 3 | Matt Ryan | ATL | show |
[Jun 4th] Mark Wimer says: Matt Ryan has all the pieces in place for a Super Bowl Run. He's improved (significantly) as a passer in each of the last three years, going from 3,705 yards passing three years ago to 4,177 yards passing two years ago and finishing 2012 with 4,719 yards passing. The addition of Steven Jackson gives him a good three-down running back with good pass catching skills (40-50 receptions per season are a norm for Jackson) which should help Ryan achieve another record season as a passer during 2013. He could easily end up as the top fantasy quarterback by year's end.

| 7 | Robert Griffin III | WAS | show |
[Jun 4th] Mark Wimer says: Obviously, I am assuming Robert Griffin III's knee is healthy for week one of regular season. If his rehab suffers setbacks during training camp/preseason (or if he can't practice during training camp), the I'll be revisiting this ranking.

| 11 | Tom Brady | NE | show |
[Jun 4th] Mark Wimer says: Danny Amendola MAY be an adequate substitute for Wes Welker, but I'm not sold on Donald Jones and Julian Edelman as #2 WR and #3 WR in New England - also, surgically-repaired forearm and back that Rob Gronkowski has been dealing with puts his early-season participation in the offense in jeopardy in my opinion. Oh, and Danny Woodhead has left this house, too. A lot has changed here and I'm dubious that Tom Brady can turn this lineup into an elite passing attack.

| 12 | Russell Wilson | SEA | |
| 13 | Colin Kaepernick | SF | show |
[Jun 4th] Mark Wimer says: The loss of #1 wide receiver Michael Crabtree pushes Kaepernick to the cusp of fantasy QB1/QB2 status - he has upside if the team can find a viable replacement for Crabtree, but I'm not willing to pay a premium pick at quarterback for a 'maybe' QB #1, and there are enough other people enthused about Kaepernick that I probably won't roster him much this year.

| 17 | Carson Palmer | ARI | show |
[Jun 4th] Mark Wimer says: The prospect of Carson Palmer throwing to Larry Fitzgerald is intriguing - if the Cardinals' line can vastly improve their pass blocking. If not, Palmer will feel a lot of the pains that Kevin Kolb endured here in Arizona. Unless and until I see improvement from this (epically horrid) offensive line, I'm keeping my projections for the Arizona passing game conservative.
