| 1 | Adrian Peterson | MIN | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: Adrian Peterson posted an unbelievable season less than a year out from knee surgery, rushing for 2,097 yards, catching 40 passes for another 217 yards and scoring 13 TDs. The Vikings offense should be better in 2013 as they have a few wide receiving options to go along with their solid tight end and the amazing Adrian Peterson. Look for Peterson to again finish top five (he has done so in five of his six seasons) and threaten back to back years with over 2,000 yards from scrimmage.

| 2 | Arian Foster | HOU | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: Arian Foster is the perfect fit for the Texans offensive game plan. He has finished among the top five running backs for the past three seasons and remains an easy-to-make top three selection.

| 3 | Doug Martin | TB | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: Doug Martin lived up to his lofty expectations as a rookie running for 1,454 yards and catching 49 passes for another 472 yards and scoring 12 TDs. He was heavily used, with 86% of the running back carries and that trend should continue. The Bucs offensive line is expected to be improved this year and they weren’t too shabby last year. Doug Martin has a very low high this season.

| 4 | Ray Rice | BAL | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: Top flight skills and heavily featured is a rare event for running backs these days. Rice has averaged 278 carries, 70 receptions, 1,877 yards from scrimmage and almost 10 TDs per season over the last four years and has not missed a game. The Ravens began using Bernard Pierce a little more down the stretch, so the carries may be reduced, but Rice might get even a few more targets with Anquan Boldin gone.

| 5 | Trent Richardson | CLE | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: Trent Richardson carries some question marks for 2013 as he was bothered by injuries much of last year and has been shut down by the Browns until August to be safe about his leg and possibly avoid a stress fracture. He is a very talented running back and a strong receiver. He totaled 950 yards rushing and added 51 receptions for another 367 yards and scored 12 TDs as a rookie. The only downside of his production was that he averaged only 3.6 ypc. He is definitely the bell-cow for Cleveland and will catch a lot of passes, so he could benefit if the offense improves production overall from a year ago.

| 6 | Jamaal Charles | KC | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: Charles is extremely talented and dynamic running back who had the most rushes in a season for his career last year, when he carried the ball 284 times for 1,513 yards and had 36 catches for another 236 yards, but only 6 TDs. Coach Andy Reid takes over the Chiefs so he may not have as many rushing attempts, but could see his receptions trend upward.

| 7 | LeSean McCoy | PHI | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: McCoy's carries have increased each year in the league rising from 155 as a rookie, to 207 and then 273 last year and he maintained his high (4.8 ypc) even with the increased carries. His carries and production slipped some in 2012, but that was due to his missing four games. The offensive plan under new Head Coach Kelly should increase the workload of LeSean McCoy both running and receiving.

| 8 | Matt Forte | CHI | |
| 9 | Steven Jackson | ATL | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: Steven Jackson has been a work horse for the Rams, getting around 300 touches per year, but has scored 6 or less TDs the last four seasons. He moves on in free agency to the Falcons and probably will be more productive (especially scoring TDs) with less carries. There has been a lot of talk about involving Jackson in the passing game and with his 406 career receptions, this seems like a solid plan. With Julio Jones, Roddy White, and Tony Gonzalez out on routes, Jackson should have a lot of one on one situations with linebackers, which he will often win. A true twist of fate might be that the past few years Jackson has run behind a poor offensive line in St. Louis and they look to be improved this season while the Falcons lost two key members of their very good line from last year and could struggle early to replicate success. For dynasty, Jackson is 30 and has a lot of mileage on his wheels so will probably be a player that owners just ride into the sunset with.

| 10 | Chris Johnson | TEN | show |
[Jun 10th] Steve Holloway says: Chris Johnson rushed for 1,243 yards and improved his yards per carry by 0.5 yards from his career low in 2011. He also added 36 catches for 226 yards and scored 6 TDs. The Titans added Shonn Greene and many think that it’s a fore gone conclusion that Greene will be the short yardage back. However, Greene has not been that productive in that role. Even if Greene steals a few short TD runs, Johnson will maintain a heavy work load and the brief rests could improve his production, even on less touches. The Titans have a very good offensive line, particularly for run blocking and the Titans offense overall should improve in 2013.

| 11 | C.J. Spiller | BUF | |
| 12 | Maurice Jones-Drew | JAX | show |
[Jun 10th] Steve Holloway says: Maurice Jones-Drew had only missed three games in his first six seasons in the NFL until last season. The four seasons that he played in every game, he never failed being among the top ten running backs. His yards per rush have improved in each of his last three seasons, even last year when he only played six games before going on IR. His question marks for this season are whether he is healthy and could he be disciplined for his security guard incident. He will likely be available at a discount, even without a suspension and he has always produced for Jacksonville, sometimes as their only offensive threat. Health and recovery are the two main questions, but he could be worth a somewhat late gamble.

| 13 | Marshawn Lynch | SEA | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: Marshawn Lynch, apparently again on the wrong side of the law is waiting on a hearing date to be set and he has another rookie arriving on the scene for the Seahawks. Last year the team added Robert Turbin in the 4th round and this year, Christine Michael in the 2nd. Lynch has averaged about 19 carries and 91 yards rushing per game for the past two seasons, also catching 51 passes and scored 25 total TDs. I expect a few less carries per game as the team uses their depth some to keep everyone fresh. The Seahawks do have a very good offensive line, so all their running backs should have some success. The wild cards with Lynch are will he miss any games due to his off-field issues or back spasms and how much time will he share with the two other running backs.

| 14 | Reggie Bush | DET | |
| 15 | Alfred Morris | WAS | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: Alfred Morris had a spectacular rookie season rushing for 1,606 yards, catching 11 passes for another 77 yards and scoring 13 TDs. He carried the ball an astounding 89% of the team running back carries and had the 3rd most rushes in the NFL at 335. Her actually carried the ball more often in the second half of the season and avoided so-called rookie wall. Will his success be negatively impacted if Robert Griffin III misses games or runs less? I expect him to have a decreased work-load and probably average less than his stellar 4.8 ypc from his rookie campaign. Morris is not heavily involved in the passing game.

| 16 | Darren McFadden | OAK | show |
[Jun 10th] Steve Holloway says: Darren McFadden has had an up and down career with the Raiders. He has averaged 4.3 ypc over his career, but has single seasons ranging from 3.3 ypc in 2012 to 5.4 ypc in 2011. He has always had injury issues, missing at least three games each season and a total of 23 over his five years in the NFL. On the other hand, he has a lot of talent, both rushing and as a receiver. In 2010, he rushed for 1,157 yards, caught 47 passes for another 507 yards and scored 10 TDs in only 13 games. He is so explosive that he can simply take over games, but will probably not be on the field all year.

| 17 | Frank Gore | SF | |
| 18 | Ryan Mathews | SD | |
| 19 | DeMarco Murray | DAL | show |
[Jun 9th] Steve Holloway says: The Cowboys seem content to focus their offensive attack on the passing game, depending on Tony Romo and their talented receivers. That approach combined with Murray's inability to stay on the field as well as the fact that the team added Joseph Randle, who has many of the same strengths as Murray leaves me ranking Murray consistently lower than most others.

| 20 | Darren Sproles | NO | |
| 21 | Stevan Ridley | NE | |
| 22 | David Wilson | NYG | show |
[Jun 19th] Steve Holloway says: David Wilson fumbled early in 2012 and got in Coach Coughlin’s dog house. He made a lot of plays on special teams and wound up rushing for 358 yards and 5.0 ypc in limited duty. He did have 43 carries in the last four games and rushed for 258 yards over that period. A jump from limited use over his rookie season to the primary running back this year seems to be expecting too much. Look for an RBBC for Wilson and Andre Brown most of this season.

| 23 | LeVeon Bell | PIT | |
| 24 | Lamar Miller | MIA | |
| 25 | Montee Ball | DEN | |
| 26 | Mark Ingram | NO | |
| 27 | Ahmad Bradshaw | IND | show |
[Jun 13th] Steve Holloway says: Ahmad Bradshaw finally signed with the Colts, but he remains somewhat undervalued. I expect because it took so long for him to be picked up that most will continue to underestimate his value. Bradshaw is 27, has a career rushing average of 4.6 ypc and is known to be an excellent blocker. Even while missing six games over the past two seasons, he has finished at RB20 and RB16.
