Outlook: Bernard Pierce is entering his second year after being drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Pierce was given more opportunities to show his skills as the season progressed. By the end of the regular season, he was getting enough touches to rush for 123 yards in Week 16, 89 in Week 17, and 103 in the AFC Divisional Playoffs. Pierce affords Baltimore the luxury to rest Ray Rice a bit more than they have to this point in Rice's career. He won't get enough touches to make this a running-back-by-committee situation, but he does make it likely that Rice won't get to the 318 touches he totaled last season (which was his lowest in the last four seasons).
