Outlook: Fred Davis is held in high regard in spite of modest statistical success. You would think Davis based on his reputation that Davis was in the same stratosphere as Aaron Hernandez and Jimmy Graham, but he's been far less consistent. Last year Davis played only seven games (24 receptions for 325 yards) after suffering a torn Achilles. The Redskins have maintained Davis' importance to the team, but a torn Achilles is no small matter. Davis signed a one-year $2.5mm deal in a "prove it" year, and if healthy will be one of Robert Griffin's top targets. Davis has freakish size and athleticism, but is not yet a precise route runner nor is he explosive with the ball in his hands. The season, and in fact his career, can go in many directions from here, and the onus is on Davis to determine whether he's the star some believe him to be.
