| WAS - Have not contacted Surtain - |
Paul Tenorio, of The Washington Post, reports the Washington Redskins have not contacted unrestricted free-agent CB Patrick Surtain (Chiefs) at this time, according to one of his agents.
Footballguys view: Surtain's name has supposedly been attached with the Denver Broncos, but it's nothing more than a rumor at this point.

Ethan J. Skolnick, of the South Florida SunSentinel, reports unrestricted free-agent CB Patrick Surtain (Chiefs) said he would like to play two or three more years in the league. He said he is waiting for teams to call and would be willing to play either cornerback or safety.
Footballguys view: After hearing about Eric Green's performance in OTAs, we think his old team, the Miami Dolphins, could use Surtain's services.
| DEN - Interested in Patrick Surtain? - |
Barry Jackson, from the Miami Herald, notes that the Broncos could be interested in former Dolphins cornerback Patrick Surtain.
Footballguys view: Surtain would just add more age to an already old Broncos secondary. Most of their veteran cornerbacks/safeties got their start when facemasks weren't mandatory. In all seriousness, the Broncos addressed the age of their secondary with multiple picks in the 2009 NFL Draft. If Surtain does go to Denver he would already have a chemistry with former Dolphins cornerback Eric Goodman and safety Renaldo Hill who the Broncos signed to contracts eariler this offseason.
