TB - Several in mix for No. 3 WR job -
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WRs Tiquan Underwood, Kevin Ogletree, Steve E. Smith and Chris Owusu are expected to be candidates for the No. 3 wide receiver job.
Footballguys view: Underwood may be the frontrunner in this competition. He's worked with head coach Greg Schiano since their days together at Rutgers. Owusu may be the sleeper player here. If he can stay healthy Owusu has a nice size/speed combination and arguably the highest upside of any of these players.
TB - Two players could be in mix for No. 3 WR -
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WRs Steve E. Smith and Chris Owusu could be part of the competition for the No. 3 wide receiver position next season.
TB - Steve Smith signs -
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed free-agent WR Steve E. Smith (Rams) to a one-year deal.
Footballguys view: Smith gives the Buccaneers veteran depth at the WR position. We're not expecting much from him this year as he only has 25 catches over the last two seasons. Smith will compete with Kevin Ogletree and Tiquan Underwood for playing time behind Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams.

STL - Week 11 Inactives -
The St. Louis Rams have declared QB Austin Davis, FB Brit Miller, OG Chris Williams, FS Darian Stewart, DL Matt Conrath, WR Steve E. Smith, RB Terrance Ganaway inactive for Week 11.
STL - Danny Amendola injury update -
St. Louis Rams WR Danny Amendola (shoulder) suffered a 'shoulder separation where the collarbone meets the chest,' according to a source who has spoken with the player. Amendola is expected to miss six to seven weeks, and he could return around Week 11 or 12.
STL - Week 5 Inactives -
The St. Louis Rams have declared QB Austin Davis, DL Eugene Sims, DL Matt Conrath, SS Matt Daniels, OT Rodger Saffold, WR Steve E. Smith, RB Terrance Ganaway inactive for Week 5.
STL - Week 4 Inactives -
The St. Louis Rams have declared QB Austin Davis, RB Isaiah Pead, DL Jermelle Cudjo, DL Matt Conrath, SS Matt Daniels, OT Rodger Saffold, WR Steve E. Smith inactive for Week 4.
Footballguys view: Terrance Ganaway is up over Pead, which is a bad sign for Pead's dynasty value. With Steve Smith inactive, rookie Brian Quick should see the field, and Chris Givens could see a lot of action today.
STL - Several WRs to get look with first-team offense -
St. Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher wants to get WRs Chris Givens and Brian Quick time with the first-team offense in the preseason finale, although he also admitted WR Steve E. Smith hasn't had much chance to work with QB Sam Bradford either. 'Yes, there's a chance I'll move them up. I'd like to see Givens and Quick in there, but they're all young receivers,' Fisher said. 'You take, for example, Steve Smith's case. He hasn't really had an opportunity to work with Sam. We'll play as many as we can earlier in the game and with the numbers down, they'll be playing throughout the game.'
Footballguys view: Givens and Quick are both rookie WRs with room to improve. Givens is fast and can work underneath routes because of his elusiveness in the open field. Quick is a huge target but fails to use his frame properly to box out defenders away from the ball.
STL - Steve Smith has been a buzz of training camp -
St. Louis Rams WR Steve E. Smith has caught everything thrown his way during training camp and has been a buzz of camp. Head coach Jeff Fisher said Smith hasn't had any problems with his surgically repaired knee and they haven't had to tone back his work at all. QB Sam Bradford said he is excited about the team using both Smith and Danny Amendola in the slot at the same time. 'I think that could cause some problems for some people,' Bradford said, while also noting Smith is a great route runner.
Footballguys view: Smith has good natural talent but durability is a big concern. We don't trust him as anything more than a WR5 you can add in the fourteenth-round.
STL - Steve Smith showing off speed -
St. Louis Rams WR Steve E. Smith (knee) has been better than expected in training camp, and he is showing off tremendous speed. Smith is completely healthy after battling serious knee issues the past couple of seasons.
Footballguys view: Don't draft Smith, but keep him on your waiver wire speed dial. The Rams have one of the most unproven WR corps in the league and someone will have to emerge. If Smith can stay healthy he could have a bounce back season and be a nice bye week/injury replacement player for your fantasy team.
STL - Five might be battling for roster spot -
St. Louis Rams WRs Danario Alexander, Brandon Gibson, Austin Pettis, Greg Salas and Steve E. Smith are not considered locks for the team's final roster out of training camp and the preseason. Smith showed progress as offseason workouts went on, and he might be a sleeper if healthy. Pettis has two games remaining on his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Footballguys view: Alexander is the most physically gifted out of this group but knee injuries have kept him from developing as a pro. Salas is the best route runner but last year as a rookie really struggled and was plagued by drops.
STL - Steve Smith has plenty of incentive -
Updating a previous report, St. Louis Rams WR Steve E. Smith not only has a base salary of $1 million for his one-year deal, but the deal includes another $1.5 million in roster bonuses, presumably paid out on a per-game basis.
Footballguys view: Smith was clearly not ready for prime time last year, but he was once a PPR stud and he'll have plenty of opportunity in St. Louis. Monitor his offseason and camp for good news.
STL - Steve Smith contract update -
St. Louis Rams WR Steve E. Smith is scheduled to receive a $1 million base salary this season.
STL - Two players signed -
The St. Louis Rams have signed free-agent WR Steve E. Smith (Eagles) to a one-year deal and free-agent TE Matthew Mulligan (Jets) to a two-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Smith gives them another veteran in the WR corps, but isn't exactly an impact player. We think the Rams will take WR Justin Blackmon (Oklahoma State) with the sixth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
STL - Still in contact with several FAs -
The St. Louis Rams are still in contact with free-agent WR Steve E. Smith (Eagles), OGs Chilo Rachal (49ers) and Robert Turner (Jets), OT Barry Richardson (Chiefs) and LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar (Saints).
STL - Brady Quinn visited Thursday -
Free-agent QB Brady Quinn (Broncos) visited the St. Louis Rams Thursday, March 16, throwing to free-agent WR Steve E. Smith (Eagles).
Footballguys view: Quinn is making a tour around the league as he tries to find a better backup situation than he had in Denver. The Rams are looking for a quality veteran backup behind starter Sam Bradford.
STL - Meeting with Steve Smith -
The St. Louis Rams are meeting with free-agent WR Steve E. Smith (Eagles) Thursday, March 15.
PHI - Five not expected to return -

Philadelphia Eagles DL Victor Abiamiri, RB Ronnie Brown, DL Antonio Dixon, OT King Dunlap, WR DeSean Jackson, DL Derek Landri, DL Trevor Laws, OG Evan Mathis, FB Owen Schmitt, WR Steve E. Smith and QB Vince Young are all veteran with contracts set to expire, so the team will have decisions to make about their futures.
PHI - Steve Smith to IR -
The Philadelphia Eagles placed WR Steve E. Smith (knee) on the Injured Reserve Monday, Dec. 12, and promoted DL Cedric Thornton off the practice squad in a corresponding move.
Footballguys view: This is the same knee that required microfracture surgery last year. This latest injury may require surgery, and could threaten his career.
PHI - Steve Smith undergoes MRI -
Philadelphia Eagles WR Steve E. Smith (knee) didn't play after his knee swelled up on the trip to play the Miami Dolphins in Week 14. An MRI exam revealed a bone bruise. The injury is to the same knee that Smith underwent microfracture surgery on last year.
PHI - Week 14 Inactives -
The Philadelphia Eagles have declared CB Brandon Hughes, DL Brandon Graham, LB Greg Lloyd Jr., OL Julian Vandervelde, DL Juqua Parker, WR Steve E. Smith, OT Winston Justice inactive for Week 14.
Footballguys view: Smith is a healthy scratch as he hasn't come close to returning to pre-microfracture form.
PHI - Steve Smith finds end zone against old mates -
Philadelphia Eagles WR Steve E. Smith scored on a 14-yard catch in Week 11 against the New York Giants, his former team. It was his first game back at the new Giants stadium.
PHI - Steve Smith all about the money -
Philadelphia Eagles WR Steve E. Smith, who has struggled this season, said he does not regret his decision to leave his former team, the New York Giants. 'Oh, no. It's a business. I'd rather have more money in my pocket,' Smith said. He was referring to the one-year, reported $2.3 million deal offered by Philadelphia last summer that trumped the one-year, $1 million contract proposed by the Giants because of concerns about his slow recovery from microfracture left knee surgery.

PHI - Jason Avant leads reserve receivers -
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jason Avant had four receptions for 33 yards, while WR Steve E. Smith got onto the stat sheet with 27 yards on two receptions.
Footballguys view: Smith had a terrible drop in the red zone that led to an interception, and otherwise flopped in his first game vs. his old team, one that had him designated as a captain by the Eagles.

Philadelphia Eagles WRs Riley Cooper (hamstring) and Steve E.
