Footballguys view: Fourth and Long winner Jesse Holley makes the final roster.
DAL - Three likely vying for one roster spot -
Dallas Cowboys FBs Shaun Chapas, Chris Gronkowski and TE Jason Pociask are likely competing for one spot on the roster. 'We got to get a lot better,' running backs coach Skip Peete said Tuesday, Aug. 23. 'Still a big competition there. We've actually given them all an opportunity to perform. It's not strictly one guy is running (with the first team), they're all getting their share of reps.'
DAL - Jason Pociask moved to FB -
The Dallas Cowboys have moved TE Jason Pociask to fullback because he is similar to the team's other tight ends and has the ability to play fullback. Pociask was fourth on the depth chart among the tight ends.
DAL - Announce roster cuts -
The Dallas Cowboys have released CBs Cletis Gordon, Bryan McCann, Jamar Wall and Teddy Williams, RBs Herb Donaldson and Lonyae Miller, TEs Dajleon Farr, Jason Pociask and Martin Rucker, WRs Jesse Holley and Manuel Johnson, DL Marcus Dixon, Jimmy Saddler-McQueen and Junior Siavii, LBs Curtis Johnson, Steve Octavien and Brandon Sharpe, OT Will Barker, OG Travis Bright and OL Mike Tepper, reports Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com.
Footballguys view: Undrafted rookie Lonyae Miller may be an option for the Cowboys practice squad. The team may want to develop him as a future change of pace back and receiver out of the backfield.
DAL - Jason Pociask sliding down depth chart -
Dallas Cowboys TE Jason Pociask is sliding down the team's depth chart, reports Edward Lewis, of DallasCowboys.com. TE Martin Rucker and TE Scott Sicko both worked ahead of Pociask this week in drills.

The Dallas Cowboys will sign unrestricted free-agent TE Jason Pociask (Seahawks) as soon as Sunday, Aug. 15, a source told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
SEA - Jason Pociask released -
The Seattle Seahawks have released TE Jason Pociask, reports Eric Williams, of the Tacoma News Tribune.
SEA - Six signed to future contracts -
Eric Williams, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports the Seattle Seahawks have re-signed free agents WR Patrick Carter, LB Anthony Heygood, WR Mike X. Jones, RB Xavier Omon, TE Jason Pociask and CB DeAngelo Willingham to future contracts.
Footballguys view: Xavier Omon is the player to watch here. When he was with the Bills last season it looked like he didn't have the burst to hang in the NFL. However, this season in limited playing time he seemed to be more aggressive and effective as a runner. The 4-time 1,500 yard rusher from Northwest Missouri State now finds himself on a team that needs a bigger back on the roster. Both Julius Jones and Justin Forsett are smaller backs that could wear down with increased playing time. If Omon can impress the coaching staff he could be the Seahawks short-yardage/power back in 2010.
SEA - Pociask signed -
The Seattle Times' Danny O'Neil reports the Seattle Seahawks signed free-agent TE Jason Pociask (Panthers) to their practice squad Thursday, Dec. 31.
CIN - Work out four Monday -
The Cincinnati Bengals worked out free-agent TE Jason Pociask (Colts), TE Tony Curtis (Ravens), CB DeAngelo Willingham (Patriots) and SS Emmanuel Cook Monday, Oct. 26.
TB - Cook, others released on cut day -
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released OT Anthony Alabi, CB Kyle Arrington, DT Chris Bradwell, C Rob Bruggeman, PK Matt Bryant, DE Jarriett Buie, S Steve Cargile, WR Patrick Carter, FB Jameel Cook, DT Rashaad Duncan, WR Cortez Hankton, DE Louis Holmes, WR Kareem Huggins, CB Darrell Hunter, OT James Lee, WR Marcus Maxwell, TE Jason Pociask, TE Ryan Purvis, LB Bo Ruud and WR Mario Urrutia. S Donte' Nicholson was waived injured.
Footballguys view: We like TE Ryan Purvis here, and he could find his way to the Bucs practice squad. He was Matt Ryan's security blanket at Boston College, and made a few plays for Tampa Bay this preseason, including catching a 2-point conversion from Josh Johnson.

Scott Reynolds, of PewterReport.com, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Joel Filani (hamstring), C Jeff Faine (groin), LB Angelo Crowell (hamstring) and TE Jason Pociask (undisclosed) participated in practice Monday, Aug. 17.
