SEA - Percy Harvin to be used in many ways -
Seattle Seahawks WR Percy Harvin will be used similarly to how he was used by the Minnesota Vikings, in a variety of ways. He'll likely line up in the slot as his regular position, but he'll also be utilized outside and could see handoff and kickoff returns. 'I'll be moving around - pretty much all around,' said the 5-foot-11, 184-pound Harvin. 'There'll be a little bit of running back coming up. But right now, we're just trying to get the foundation set, just running the base plays, and we'll see where it goes from there.'
Footballguys view: Adding Harvin was a brilliant move by the Seahawks. He offers an instant upgrade to the WR corps and should become the favorite target of QB Russell Wilson. We expect the team to move him around the field in order to create mismatches they can exploit.

SEA - Percy Harvin would be used in slot -
The Seattle Seahawks likely will use WR Percy Harvin as the slot receiver with WRs Sidney Rice and Golden Tate on the outside in three-receiver sets.
Footballguys view: A tremendous move for the Seahawks here. Harvin's run after the catch ability will be heavily accentuated by the Seahawks offense under OC Darrell Bevell. He has experience working with Harvin from their days together with the Vikings.
SEA - Will trade three picks for Percy Harvin -
Updating previous reports, the Seattle Seahawks will trade a 2013 first-and seventh-round draft choice as well as a 2014 middle-round draft choice to the Minnesota Vikings in the trade involving WR Percy Harvin.

MIN - Will get at least one top pick in Percy Harvin trade -

MIN - Agree to trade Percy Harvin -
The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a trade with the Seattle Seahawks that would send WR Percy Harvin to their Seahawks for draft picks. Harvin will have to pass a physical to complete the trade.

SEA - Agree to trade for Percy Harvin -
The Seattle Seahawks have agreed on a trade with the Minnesota Vikings that would send WR Percy Harvin to their Seahawks for draft picks. Harvin will have to pass a physical to complete the trade.
Footballguys view: A huge move for the Seahawks here. They've got a strong ground game lead by Marshawn Lynch, and QB Russell Wilson is one of the league's brightest young stars. Adding Harvin gives them a legitimate threat at the WR position.
SEA - In Percy Harvin talks -
The Seattle Seahawks are in trade talks for Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin. They are favored to land him, if he is traded.
MIN - Percy Harvin wants out of Minnesota -
According to league sources, Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin has informed the team he doesn't want to play for them and wants to be traded. Harvin is signed through this season, and general manager Rick Spielman has made it clear the club won't trade Harvin. The team could also play hardball by retaining his services by making him a franchise player next season and the following season if they so chose.
MIN - Percy Harvin almost walked out -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin reportedly threatened to walk out on the team last offseason after hearing that New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez received a contract extension after only two years. Harvin is looking to be paid similar to Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (eight years, $132 million).
Footballguys view: Harvin is a bit of a drama queen. He's been unhappy with his role, unhappy with his contract, and may be on the trade block this offseason. Someone needs to tell Harvin that he's nowhere near the talent that Megatron is.
MIN - Percy Harvin wants Calvin Johnson money -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin is seeking a deal similar to the eight-year, $132 million deal Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson signed. That's an average of $16.5 million a year. As one person put it about Harvin, he considers himself a 'special' player and executives around the league have fed that attitude by telling people close to him how difficult it is to cover Harvin.
Footballguys view: Harvin is a special player but he's not on the same level of Megatron. Johnson not only is the best WR in the league he's also a model teammate. Harvin has been a bit of a malcontent during his time in Minnesota.
MIN - Percy Harvin not talking -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin is not commenting on any potential trade talk surrounding him. 'I got nothing to say about any of that,' Harvin said.
Footballguys view: Harvin should let his actions speak for him. Sitting out of OTAs would be the first way to put a little pressure on the Vikings to either commit to him with a long-term deal or trade him.
NE - Bill Belichick a fan of Percy Harvin -
The Minnesota Vikings have said they are not interested in trading WR Percy Harvin; however, that may not stop the New England Patriots from placing a phone call. Head coach Bill Belichick has been intrigued with Harvin since his college days at Florida. Harvin even felt the Patriots would draft him. 'I'm real familiar with (Belichick),' Harvin said. 'He came down a bunch of times to talk to me, talk to the (Gators) team, talk to (quarterback Tim) Tebow. I've heard a lot of things (about the 2009 draft). I think if Minnesota had passed, they would have taken me.'
Footballguys view: Belichick is close personal friends with former Florida head coach Urban Meyer and has added several Gators through the draft. If Harvin is available we think the Patriots would make a strong move to add him.
DEN - May look to add a top WR -
If the Denver Broncos decide to make a big splash in the offseason, the wide receiver position is where the team could spend significant money. With his career winding down, QB Peyton Manning would like another big weapon to throw to. New England Patriots impending free-agent WR Wes Welker is an option, as could Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent WR Mike Wallace. The team could also attempt to trade for Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin.
Footballguys view: The Broncos are looking for more weapons to put around Peyton this offseason. We'll see them address the position through free agency or the draft. This year's WR class is extremely strong and a guy like Tavon Austin (West Virginia) could be an option for them in the first-round.
MIN - No intent of trading Percy Harvin -
Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said the team 'has no intent' of trading WR Percy Harvin and that they expect him to report to training camp like the rest of their players.
Footballguys view: They have no intent right now. That could change if the team gets the right offer. There are some who feel the Vikings could get a premium pick for the talented WR.
MIN - Percy Harvin unhappy about offense -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin has been unhappy with the team's offensive scheme and not about his contract. Harvin's trade requests have been based on the team's limitations in the passing game and not his contract.
Footballguys view: Harvin was unhappy about his role in the offense last year. This rift may cause the team to honor his trade request and get something for the talented WR.
MIN - More on Percy Harvin's contract demands -
Updating a previous report, Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin is expecting a deal that is comparable to the ones Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson and Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald have recently received because he believes he is one of the top receivers in the NFL. Johnson signed an eight-year, $132 million deal while Fitzgerald signed an eight-year, $120 million deal.
MIN - Percy Harvin worth keeping? -
A Minnesota Vikings team source said WR Percy Harvin is worth investing in long-term despite some of his baggage. 'He is a star athlete who is a great player,' the source said. 'Is he a volatile guy? Yes. Can he be managed? Yes. For me he is not an issue. You just have to be able to deal and manage star players. I don't think we should be at the point of being done with him.'
MIN - Percy Harvin not planning a holdout? -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin is not planning to hold out at this point, according to a team source. 'As far as holding out, that's not something that I've heard he definitely will do at this point, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're throwing out threats - that's what agents do,' the source said. 'However, when you are under contract the team controls the situation, not the player. I hope he doesn't think a tactic like that would work if that's what he's thinking.'
Footballguys view: Harvin should at least consider going the route of Vincent Jackson and saving himself 10 games of wear and tear and risk of his big contract if he has reached the breaking point with the Vikings organization.
MIN - Percy Harvin wants big money -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin has told at least one teammate he wants to be paid among the top three wide receivers in football.
Footballguys view: We all want things that are probably unattainable. Harvin will still get at least 15-20 million guaranteed from someone between now and next year's free agency period.
MIN - Adrian Peterson believes in Percy Harvin -
Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he believes WR Percy Harvin and the team can overcome the recent drama in their relationship. 'I haven't really had the opportunity to talk to him much. But I always look at what you can get from a person, and I know it comes with, 'OK, you gotta deal with this, or deal with that,' but I always feel like that person can overcome whatever it is that they might be struggling with,' Peterson said.
MIN - Middle-round pick for Percy Harvin? -
A pair of NFL executives speaking about a potential trade of Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin said Tuesday, Feb. 12, they would be shocked if the team were able to land anything better than a third-round pick in the NFL Draft.
Footballguys view: Interesting perspective here. We think there would be teams in need of an impact WR who may surrender a premium pick for Harvin.
HOU - Won't pursue Percy Harvin or Mike Wallace -
The Houston Texans will not pursue WR's Percy Harvin (Vikings) or Mike Wallace (Steelers) this offseason, according to John McClane of the Houston Chronicle. Instead, the Texans will focus on re-signing their own veteran players and extending players like LB Brian Cushing and DE Antonio D. Smith.
Footballguys view: The Texans need to seriously upgrade the WR corps behind superstar Andre Johnson. They may address the position in the 2013 NFL Draft. This WR class is full of stars and very deep, even into the later rounds.
MIN - Adrian Peterson wants Percy Harvin to stay -
Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson wants WR Percy Harvin to stay with the Vikings. 'I don't know if we will or not, but me, individually and in my opinion, I wouldn't trade him,' Adrian Peterson told KFAN radio in the Twin Cities on Tuesday, via FoxSportsNorth.com. 'No, I wouldn't trade him.'
Footballguys view: Harvin's the Vikings best weapon in the passing game but his attitude problems may be too much for the team to handle anymore. We think they'd receive at least one first-round pick in exchange for the star WR.
SEA - Could show interest in Percy Harvin -
The Seattle Seahawks could show interest in Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin if he becomes available via trade this offseason.
Footballguys view: That would be a huge upgrade for the Seahawks passing game. Harvin could work the underneath routes with Sidney Rice stretching the field on the outside. Adding more weapons for QB Russell Wilson is a must this offseason.
SF - May show interest in Percy Harvin -
The San Francisco 49ers could show interest in Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin if he becomes available this offseason. The 49ers are expected to have around 13 or 14 picks in the 2013 NFL Draft and could use some in a possible trade.
Footballguys view: The 49ers need to upgrade their WR corps behind Michael Crabtree. Adding a weapon like Harvin would seriously upgrade their offense.
MIN - Percy Harvin expected to hold out -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin is expected to sit out offseason workouts and training camp if he does not get a new contract this offseason. He is scheduled to make $2.9 million next season but it is not known what he would be looking for in a new contract.
Footballguys view: The team may be looking to trade Harvin this offseason. There are likely several teams interested in the All Pro WR. The Vikings could get at least one first-round pick in return for Harvin.
MIN - Expected to look to trade Percy Harvin -
The Minnesota Vikings are expected to look to trade WR Percy Harvin because he had a tirade directed toward head coach Leslie Frazier during the season. Teammates were disappointed in Harvin's actions and the organization has moved toward less tolerance for that behavior. Harvin apparently had a similar incident when Brad Childress was head coach.
Footballguys view: Let's fire up the trade rumor mill! The Vikings would likely get a first-round pick, and maybe more, for Harvin. Several teams would have interest even with his durability and character concerns. Teams like the Patriots or Seahawks could be at the top of the list if Harvin is on the trade block.
MIN - Are they committed to Percy Harvin? -
Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman provided non-answers Friday, Feb. 8, when asked about the future of WR Percy Harvin with the team. When asked whether the team plans to offer Harvin a contract extension before the start of the 2013 season, Spielman replied, 'I'm not going to say what's going to happen this offseason, because he is going in to the last year of his contract. But right now, where we're at, Percy Harvin is a member of this football team and he is a very good football player. We don't like to get rid of good football players.' When asked if he wants Harvin on the 2013 team, Spielman said, 'We love Percy Harvin as a football player. Everybody sees what he does for our football team.'
Footballguys view: Harvin was disgruntled last year in training camp over his role with the offense. The team did a better job of featuring him more in 2012 before he was hurt. We could see the two sides work out a long-term extension with the talented WR to show their commitment. We could also see them try to trade away Harvin to get more draft picks.
MIN - Percy Harvin's future unsettled -
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said WR Percy Harvin's (ankle) future with the team is still up in the air. There has been speculation that the team may try to trade Harvin this offseason, and if not, there is still the issue of trying to work out a contract extension. Harvin's exit physical went fine and he's been cleared by doctors.
Footballguys view: Harvin was disgruntled last year during training camp but the team assured him he would be used more in 2012. He was, until an ankle injury cut his season short. There would be several teams interested in adding Harvin if he's placed on the trade block.
MIN - Percy Harvin expecting extension -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin privately has made it clear since last summer that he expects a contract extension this offseason.
Footballguys view: It seems like Harvin has been disgruntled for some time now. We'll see if the Vikings can make him happy by giving him the big money deal he expects. Outside of RB Adrian Peterson, Harvin is the best weapon on the Vikings offense.
MIN - Percy Harvin gets increase in base salary in 2013 -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin will receive an increase in his base salary in 2013 because of incentives in his contract. Harvin will go from $1.55 million to $2.9 million.
Footballguys view: Harvin will want a new deal before the season, and if the Vikings aren't willing to pony up the money to secure his services, he may demand a trade. The Patriots would have to be near the top of the list of teams that would pursue Harvin.
MIN - Could shop Percy Harvin -
The Minnesota Vikings could look to trade WR Percy Harvin this offseason if they are not able to sign him to a contract extension. The team probably would receive a draft pick or draft picks in the second and third rounds because a team likely would not give up a first-round draft choice since they would have to sign Harvin to a lucrative contract extension.
Footballguys view: Leslie Frazier said recently that he's got no issues with Harvin, but some see the relationship between WR and the team as frosty. Harvin was unhappy in camp about his role, but the team began using him more than ever earlier this year. We'll see if the two sides can work something out in the near future.
MIN - Have no issues with Percy Harvin -
Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said the team has no issue with Percy Harvin. "No," Spielman said. "Percy comes to work every day. Everybody sees what Percy puts on the field. He plays the game as hard or harder than anyone else in the NFL, the effort that he puts up out there. So, we have no issues with Percy Harvin.' Spielman said Harvin was not suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.
Footballguys view: Harvin is the team's best weapon in the passing game. If they want to improve in 2013 then they need Harvin on the field.
MIN - Percy Harvin making progress -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin (ankle) is 'headed in the right direction' in his recovery from a left ankle ligament tear, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. Harvin will return to Minnesota from Florida later this month for an exit physical. 'He has to go through his physical, and I'll learn more once he gets through (it),' Frazier said.
Footballguys view: Harvin is the best piece of the Vikings passing game. They need to feature him early and often if they want to have success through the air. We think the team should also add better weapons behind Harvin.
MIN - HC expects Percy Harvin back -
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said he expects WR Percy Harvin to return in 2013. 'I don't see any reason why Percy wouldn't be back with us. He should be,' Frazier said.
Footballguys view: Outside of RB Adrian Peterson, Harvin is the most important piece of the Vikings offense. He's an elite level WR and should be used early and often in 2013. We also expect the Vikings to upgrade their WR2 from disappointing free agent Jerome Simpson.
MIN - Percy Harvin not around team -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin (ankle) has not been at the team's facility since he was placed on Injured Reserve in December and has decided to rehab his injured ankle in Florida. Head coach Leslie Frazier said it is Harvin's decision to not be with the team but he is not required to be at the facility or on the sidelines.
Footballguys view: Harvin is the biggest piece of the Vikings passing game and the team is monitoring his rehad according to Frazier.
MIN - Coach has good relationship with Percy Harvin -
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said he has a good relationship with WR Percy Harvin. 'He's doing everything he can to get back and help our team. He's still under contract,' Frazier said.
Footballguys view: Whatever Frazier says, it still seems very possible that Harvin is traded this offseason, or that an ugly holdout situation could ensue in the summer if he isn't.
MIN - Percy Harvin looking for extension -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin will be looking for a contract extension this offseason and has indicated he will not show up for training camp without a new contract. Next season will be the final year of his rookie contract.
Footballguys view: Harvin is extremely important to the Vikings passing game and could be in line for the new deal he wants. He's been difficult to deal with this year after requesting a trade during training camp. Harvin's season was cut short by the ankle injury that put him on Injured Reserve earlier this month.
MIN - Percy Harvin, coach had incident -
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier and WR Percy Harvin (ankle) had a heated exchanged a few weeks ago in front of some players and staff members but the details of the incident are not known. Some people believed the incident was the reason Harvin was placed on Injured Reserve but the team and Harvin's agent had been talking about Harvin going on IR to avoid further injury.
MIN - Percy Harvin update -
Updating a previous item, Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin (appendix) had an emergency appendectomy Saturday, Dec. 15, not an operation on his sprained ankle, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. Harvin tweeted that he was having 'minor surgery,' though he did not reveal the nature of the procedure.
MIN - Percy Harvin says he is having surgery -
Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin (ankle) said on his Twitter page that he was scheduled to undergo minor surgery Saturday, Dec. 15. He did not specify what he was having surgery on but it is likely on his injured ankle.
Footballguys view: Harvin didn't make much progress recovering from his week 9 ankle sprain and was put on Injured Reserve in week 13. He'll likely be ready for the start of the Vikings offseason program.
MIN - Percy Harvin critical to Christian Ponder's success -
When Minnesota Vikings WR Christian Ponder throws to WR Percy Harvin (ankle), his quarterback rating is 102.8; however, his overall rating is just 79.8.
Footballguys view: Harvin was performing like a league MVP before he went down with this ankle injury. Ponder and the Vikings passing game will struggle mightily without him.
MIN - Percy Harvin to IR -
The Minnesota Vikings placed WR Percy Harvin (ankle) on the Injured Reserve Wednesday, Dec. 5.
Footballguys view: A crushing blow to the Vikings here. Their passing game had struggled without Harvin and things don't look to get much better for QB Christian Ponder and company. Harvin is going to be in the final year of his rookie deal next season, but we expect the Vikings to work hard for an extension in the offseason.
MIN - Coach unsure if Percy Harvin can return -
Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said he is not sure if WR Percy Harvin (ankle) will be able to play again this season. Harvin will not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 5.
Footballguys view: Harvin will have to practice later this week if he's going to play in week 14 against the Bears. The Vikings passing game has been struggling without Harvin in the lineup. Harvin could take a pain killing injection before the game if he's close to returning.
