The Carolina Panthers have signed fifth-round draft choice DE Greg Hardy, sixth-round draft choice DB Jordan Pugh and seventh-round draft choice CB Robert McClain, reports CarolinaGrowl.com's Steve Reed. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Greg Hardy is a very interesting rookie prospect. He has elite physical tools, and could have been a first-round pick had he lived up to his potential at Ole Miss. Hardy was suspended for a game back in 2008 for showing lack of effort, and his college career was quite inconsistent. Our very own Cecil Lammey saw Hardy up close during the week of practice at the Shrine Game and came away impressed by Hardy's potential. If the Panthers can spark his passion to be great at football, then they could have a future Pro Bowl player on their hands.
