Kansas City Chiefs CB Dunta Robinson and CB Brandon Flowers were the starting cornerbacks in voluntary offseason workouts Tuesday, April 16. CB Sean Smith entered with the nickel defense, with Flowers moving over to cover the slot receiver.
Footballguys view: It's going to be a heated competition between Robinson and Smith all the way through training camp. The Chiefs have a strong secondary which they'll need every time they play their AFC West foe the Denver Broncos.

KC - Inexperienced players could get plenty of work -
The Kansas City Chiefs finished their Week 13 game against the Carolina Panthers with a patchwork lineup featuring FS Tysyn Hartman and FS Neiko Thorpe, as well as LB Cory Greenwood. Injuries to CB Brandon Flowers (hamstring), LB Derrick Johnson (hamstring) and FS Abram Elam (quadriceps) might give those inexperienced players more time to shine in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns.
Footballguys view: Bump up your expectations for the Browns offense. We see RB Trent Richardson as a RB1 and top 10 play in week 14. WR Josh Gordon makes for a nice WR3 or flex play too.

KC - Three fully participate in practice -
Kansas City Chiefs WR Jonathan Baldwin (hamstring), CB Brandon Flowers (heel) and G Ryan Lilja (back) all fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 4.
Footballguys view: We'd like to see more of second-year WR Jonathan Baldwin, but the Chiefs passing game struggles unless it's in garbage time. We doubt a QB change to Brady Quinn would improve the prospects of Baldwin.
KC - Brandon Flowers injury update -
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel said Thursday, Oct. 4, that CB Brandon Flowers (foot) aggravated an earlier foot injury during the team's Week 4 game. 'Yeah, you know in the game, he aggravated it in the game. He had to come out for, I think, a couple series and then he came back in and finished up,' Crennel said. 'He got treatment over the weekend, on Monday and Tuesday, and it was sore yesterday. So he was out there and started off and began to feel worse, so then we took him off and let him rehab.'

Kansas City Chiefs CBs Jalil Brown (groin) and CB Brandon Flowers (foot) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 14, and are listed as questionable for Week 2.

KC - Brandon Flowers remains sidelined -
Kansas City Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers (heel) has not practiced since July 31 due to a bruised heel. CB Jalil Brown has been getting reps with Flowers out, but he was not particularly good in the preseason game with the St. Louis Rams.

He completed just eight of his 21 passes for 116 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions, including one which was returned by CB Brandon Flowers for 58 yards and a score.
Footballguys view: Palmer telegraphed throws and looked more like Kerry Collins than a savior in this one. His fantasy stock has chilled with this showing, but he can only improve coming out of the bye in two weeks.
KC - Brandon Flowers played through pain -
Kansas City Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers (ankle) said his ankle, which he injured in Week 3 against the San Diego Chargers, was not pain free in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings. 'I knew it was going to both me, but I heal very quicj, and I have a high tolerance for pain,' Flowers said.
