TEN - RB Chris Johnson questionable - The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson (ankle) is being listed as questionable for Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Johnson is not going to be at full speed, and he hasn't exactly been consistently productive when he is healthy, so he can't be viewed as an RB1 this week. He's still hard to bench as one of the few feature backs left going in week 16.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger to miss Week 16 - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Mark Kaboly

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Charlie Batch will get the start, downgrading Antonio Brown and Mike Wallace's fantasy stock this week. Rashard Mendenhall had two 100-yard games and four TDs in the four games Roethlisberger sat out last year, so his outlook is rosy and intact despite the change at QB.

CIN - A.J. Green probable - Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (shoulder) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 23, and is probable for Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Green's shoulder injury can't be a grade 3 sprain as originally reported, or the Bengals are fudging the injury report. Green is still worth a WR2/WR3 play this week on sheer talent and targets alone, but there has to be more to this than what we know because Green's status doesn't jive with the severity of the injury as originally reported.

GB - RB James Starks expected to play - Green Bay Press-Gazette - Pete Dougherty

Green Bay Packers RB James Starks (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 23. He is listed as probable for Week 16 and is expected to play.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: None of the Packers RBs are worth a play this week with all four back and healthy.

SD - WR Vincent Jackson a game-time decision - The San Diego Union-Tribune

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Jackson (groin) will be a game-time decision in Week 16 after not practicing this week.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Make sure you have a late/night game WR in reserve if you are counting on Jackson.

NYG - RB Ahmad Bradshaw expected to play - New York Daily News - Ralph Vacchiano

New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 23. He is listed as probable for Week 16 and is expected to play.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Bradshaw is still yielding a lot of snaps and touches to Brandon Jacobs and has not returned to his borderline RB1 status he had coming into the season.

NYG - WR Mario Manningham not expected to play - New York Daily News - Ralph Vacchiano

Updating a previous report, New York Giants WR Mario Manningham (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 23. He is listed as doubtful for Week 16 and is not expected to play.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks become even better plays despite the tough matchup because of the sheer number of targets they will with the Giants first-string TE and #3 WR out this week.

DET - RB Kevin Smith expected to play - Detroit Free Press - Dave Birkett

Detroit Lions RB Kevin Smith (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 23. He is listed as probable for Week 16 and is expected to play.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Smith is as healthy as he has been in about month. He is a strong PPR RB2 play this week and he could help a lot of teams win championships.

NO - Mark Ingram not expected to play - KFFL.com

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (toe) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 23, and is not expected to play Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Chris Ivory is available as a desperation RB play again this week.

ARI - Beanie Wells questionable - AZCardinals.com

Arizona Cardinals RB Beanie Wells (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Wells had been probable while nursing his knee injury in recent weeks, so this is not the best sign. His matchup is still manageable and the Cardinals should be able to hang with the Bengals, so he can be considered a low-ceiling RB2 this week.

SD - WR Vincent Jackson could miss Week 16 - The San Diego Union-Tribune - Kevin Acee

San Diego Chargers WR Vincent Jackson (groin) hasn't recovered well from his groin injury, and there is a chance that he may not play against the Detroit Lions in Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Jackson has one of the best matchups of any WR this week, but you can't play with confidence unless you have another WR (or RB if you can flex VJax) from the late or Sunday/Monday night games to plug in if he can't go. Philip Rivers outlook would also take a hit if Jackson is inactive.

CHI - RB Marion Barber doubtful - Chicago Sun-Times - Sean Jensen

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears RB Marion Barber III (calf) is being listed as doubtful for Week 16 after missing practice Friday, Dec. 23.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Kahlil Bell will get the start and should be a boon to anyone looking for RB help on the waiver wire.

DEN - RB Willis McGahee probable - DenverBroncos.com

Denver Broncos RB Willis McGahee (hamstring) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 23, and is probable for Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: McGahee is not 100%, but will start, which is good enough for an RB2 play in nonPPR leagues.

BUF - Stevie Johnson probable - BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR Stevie Johnson (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 23, and is listed as probable for Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Johnson will face Champ Bailey and probably play within a shortened clock and more conservative game script because of the Broncos style, so he is only a low WR2 at best.

DAL - WR Laurent Robinson questionable - ESPNDallas.com - Tim MacMahon

Dallas Cowboys WR Laurent Robinson (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Week 16, but he is expected to play against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was limited in practice all week.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Robinson has been very comfortable with Tony Romo both in the red zone and as a downfield threat, so he should still be considered a WR2/WR3 as long as he is active.

DAL - RB Felix Jones questionable - ESPNDallas.com - Tim MacMahon

Dallas Cowboys RB Felix Jones (hamstring) is being listed as questionable for the team's Week 16 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jones is still expected to play despite being limited in practice. 'It would surprise me if Felix does not go,' owner/general manager Jerry Jones said. 'That would surprise me. On the other hand, it would be madness not to recognize that he hasn't practiced all week, so you better have another plan in place.' RB Sammy Morris will start if Jones can't go.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Jones will probably at least have his workload reduced and he might not be as effective on what touches he does get. He also carries a risk of re-injury or aggravation during the game. Jones should be considered a boom/bust flex a la Kevin Smith for the last few weeks.

OAK - Denarius Moore probable - KFFL.com

Oakland Raiders WR Denarius Moore (foot) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 23, and is probable for Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Moore is a great hail mary play at WR3/Flex this week with his deep speed and terrific ball skills. Carson Palmer should take at least a shot or two downfield to him vs. the Chiefs.

MIA - WR Brandon Marshall probable - KFFL.com

Miami Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall (knee) practiced in full Friday, Dec. 23, and is probable for Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Marshall is a must-start against the shoddy Patriots secondary.

DAL - RB Sammy Morris could have bigger role - ESPNDallas.com - Tim MacMahon

Dallas Cowboys RB Sammy Morris could have a bigger role in the offense in Week 16 with RB Felix Jones (hamstring) being questionable for the game.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Morris is still only a "what the heck flex" level play unless Felix Jones is inactive.

SEA - Doug Baldwin questionable for Week 16 - The Seattle Times - Danny O'Neil

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (ankle) did not practice Friday, Dec. 23, and he is officially listed as questionable for the Week 16 game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: If Baldwin is inactive, then Golden Tate and Ben Obomanu become even better plays as the main targets for Tarvaris Jackson.

NE - RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis listed as questionable - NESN.com - Jeff Howe

New England Patriots RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis (illness) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 23. He is listed as questionable for Week 16 but is expected to play.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Green-Ellis is just one of a three-headed committee at RB right now and he can not be trusted in championship fantasy lineups.

OAK - RB Michael Bush questionable - KFFL.com

Oakland Raiders RB Michael Bush (shoulder) was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 23, and is questionable for Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Bush has been participating in practice all week, so we have to assume that he'll be able to handle his full workload unless we hear otherwise.

CIN - WR Andre Caldwell doubtful - Bengals.com

Cincinnati Bengals WR Andre Caldwell (groin) did not practice Friday, Dec. 23, and is doubtful for Week 16.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Andrew Hawkins should have the slot receiver role all to himself vs. the Cardinals.

PHI - WR Jeremy Maclin practices - KFFL.com

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (hamstring, shoulder) practiced Friday, Dec. 23, and is probable for Week 16.

Footballguys' view: Maclin is back to at least WR3/flex consideration, if not WR2 level projections this week. He should be Michael Vick's favorite WR target vs. the Cowboys.

SF - Two questionable for Week 16 - 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers FB Bruce Miller (knee) and LB Patrick Willis (hamstring) were each limited participants in practice Friday, Dec. 23, and both are considered questionable for Week 16 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Link to full story

Footballguys' view: Willis could return this week, but check the inactives before starting him and make sure you have Larry Grant or another late/night game LB in reserve.

That'll do it for today, Folks. Have a great Christmas Eve and here's wishing you and yours all the best.

Peace,

J
