Dolphins | No timetable for DeVante Parker Thu Jul 30, 09:11 PM
Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (foot) has no timetable for his return from the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to head coach Joe Philbin Thursday, July 30.
|Footballguys view: Good. The team doesn't need a timetable on Parker. Let him heal properly, then ease him back into action when he's ready. We like the rookie's upside as a deep threat, and we can't wait until he gets onto the field.|

Broncos | Peyton Manning to rely on run game? Thu Jul 30, 08:21 PM
Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning will need to rely on the run game in 2015, according to general manager John Elway Thursday, July 30. 'What I can say, late in my career, that was my best friend, the running game. And I think that running game will be Peyton's best friend also,' said Elway.
|Footballguys view: C.J. Anderson has the ability to be among the league's leading rushers. He'll be a centerpiece for the Broncos and help set up the play-action passing game for Manning. Anderson could finish as a top-5 fantasy running back, while Manning should finish as a top-10 fantasy quarterback--even on a more balanced offense.|

Cowboys | Steven Jackson want to go to Dallas Thu Jul 30, 08:15 PM
Free-agent RB Steven Jackson (Falcons) posted his desire to join the Dallas Cowboys on Twitter Thursday, July 30.
|Footballguys view: Of course Jackson wants to go to Dallas! The Cowboys offensive line will be able to make most any back fantasy relevant. At this time, Joseph Randle is set to be the starting running back.|

Broncos | Virgil Green to be eased in Thu Jul 30, 08:14 PM
Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green (hamstring) will be eased in slowly during training camp, as a precaution for the hamstring issues that slowed him down during minicamp.
|Footballguys view: Green is one of the best blocking tight ends in the league. The Broncos have a ton of question marks on the offensive line, so having Green up front to help block would be a great benefit.|

Rams | Todd Gurley will be limited Thu Jul 30, 07:53 PM
St. Louis Rams RB Todd Gurley (knee) will be limited to individual drills when training camp starts as he continues to recover from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
|Footballguys view: No surprise here. Gurley is recovering from an ACL injury suffered last year at Georgia, and he might begin the season as a backup behind Tre Mason. Gurley has incredible talent, and he should take over as the starter when fully healthy.|

Giants | James Jones signing Thu Jul 30, 06:52 PM
Updating a previous report, free-agent WR James Jones (Raiders) is signing a one-year deal with the New York Giants. Financial terms were undisclosed.
|Footballguys view: Jones is going to give the Giants some depth at the wide receiver position. Last year, Jones hauled in 73 catches for 666 yards and six touchdowns for the Raiders. With the Giants, Jones is reunited with OC Ben McAdoo. The two worked together back in Green Bay from 20070-2013.|

New York Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul (finger) has not reported to training camp as he continues to rehabilitate from a finger injury, much to the dismay of owner John Mara. Mara said he's disappointed Pierre-Paul has not shown up, adding that the Giants have a solid training staff that could help Pierre-Paul and he would be able to learn the new defense.
|Footballguys view: The future of Pierre-Paul is very much in question. We'll see what happens with his recovery, his contract situation and his ability after the fireworks accident that cost him a finger.|

Giants | Odell Beckham to be eased in Thu Jul 30, 05:49 PM
New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) will be eased into training camp as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury. Beckham recently said the hamstring feels better than it did earlier this offseason.
|Footballguys view: Hamstring problems kept Beckham out of the first four games of his rookie season. He's a superstar who can dominate on the field, so the Giants will take it easy on him as he deals with hamstring problems again this year.|

Giants | Victor Cruz will be brought along slowly Thu Jul 30, 05:31 PM
New York Giants WR Victor Cruz (knee) will be eased into training camp as he keeps recovering from a torn patellar tendon. Teammate CB Prince Amukamara recently said Cruz has looked faster than he was before the injury, however.
|Footballguys view: That's the smart move for the Giants. Getting Cruz back will be huge for the offense as he can take some of the defensive attention away from Odell Beckham Jr.|

Packers | No word on Andrew Quarless yet Thu Jul 30, 05:15 PM
Green Bay Packers TE Andrew Quarless has not reported to training camp, and the Packers still don't know when he will do so. Head coach Mike McCarthy said Quarless is dealing with a difficult family situation and that he'll be gone as long as he needs to be. Quarless was arrested and charged earlier this month for firing a gun, but that seems to be unrelated to his current situation.
|Footballguys view: Fantasy owners will be looking elsewhere for tight end help. With Quarless away, it's just a chance for Richard Rodgers to get more time to showcase his talent.|

Browns | Isaiah Crowell struggling early Thu Jul 30, 04:58 PM
Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell and QB Josh McCown had trouble exchanging the football more than once early in practice Thursday, July 30. Crowell also struggled securing the football in his rookie season.
|Footballguys view: Crowell is a talented runner, but he needs to take care of the rock if he wants the starting job.|

Cowboys | Darren McFadden's injury not the same Thu Jul 30, 04:54 PM
Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden's (hamstring) hamstring injury is not the same hamstring he injured during organized team activities. Head coach Jason Garrett said he is hopeful McFadden will be back in a week.
|Footballguys view: The story with McFadden will always be the same: the guy just can't stay healthy. This new hamstring injury won't help him win the starting job in Dallas. We'll see him as the backup behind Joseph Randle this year.|

Broncos | Demaryius Thomas to come back slowly Thu Jul 30, 04:48 PM
Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas will be eased back into the offense this offseason because of his late return to the team. The Broncos want to gauge where Thomas is physically before he's cleared for full contact practices.
|Footballguys view: Thomas has missed the entire offseason program as he waited for a new long-term deal from the Broncos. It's the smart move to ease him into action. Thomas should be able to catch 100 passes this year in the Gary Kubiak offense.|

Patriots | Dont'a Hightower making progress Thu Jul 30, 04:21 PM
New England Patriots LB Dont'a Hightower (shoulder) is optimistic after the first day of training camp Thursday, July 30.

Broncos | Jake Long not an option now Thu Jul 30, 03:29 PM
Free-agent OT Jake Long (Rams) met with the Denver Broncos Thursday, July 30, but the team will not be signing him at this time.
|Footballguys view: The Broncos are updating their emergency list right now. Long has worked out for both the Giants and the Broncos recently, but neither team gave him a contract offer. We'll see if he can latch on with one of these teams (or someone else) during training camp.|
Titans | Dorial Green-Beckham to be limited Thu Jul 30, 03:21 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Dorial Green-Beckham (hamstring) likely will be limited during the early part of training camp since he missed offseason workouts because of a hamstring injury.
|Footballguys view: The Titans will take it easy on the talented rookie. Hamstring injuries are known to linger if not treated properly. Green-Beckham is big, fast and physical. We're excited to see what kind of chemistry he can build with fellow rookie Marcus Mariota.|
Dorial Green-Beckham player page
Bengals | Tyler Eifert says he is healthy Thu Jul 30, 03:14 PM
Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert said he is 100% healthy for the first time since the beginning of last offseason.
|Footballguys view: Eifert has the upside to be a top-10 fantasy tight end. The Bengals are likely to use him as much as possible, and he could outperform his current ADP of TE16 (13.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.|
Tyler Eifert player page
Titans | Marcus Mariota will start in 2015 Thu Jul 30, 03:12 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota will be starting quarterback this season, according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
|Footballguys view: What else are they going to do? Zach Mettenberger is a strong-armed backup-caliber quarterback with accuracy problems. Mariota was the second-overall pick for a reason, and the Titans will see what he can do in his first season. Scrambling quarterbacks are always nice fantasy assets, but we would not recommend drafting Mariota as anything more than a QB3.|

Falcons | Julio Jones working on extension Thu Jul 30, 03:01 PM
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones said his agent has been talking with the Falcons about a contract extension. He said he will participate when practice begins Friday, July 31.
|Footballguys view: The Jones deal could be close. The Falcons and Jones now have a roadmap for a new deal based on the contracts that Demaryius Thomas and Dez Bryant signed earlier this year.|

Browns | Alex Mack takes part in practice Thu Jul 30, 02:50 PM
Cleveland Browns C Alex Mack (leg) worked with the first-team offense during practice Thursday, July 30. Head coach Mike Pettine said the team expects Mack to tell them when he needs a day off.
|Footballguys view: Getting Mack back on the field is huge for the Browns. He's one of the best centers in the league, and their rushing attack fell apart last year after Mack went down. With a questionable passing game, the Browns will have to lean on the offensive line and the running backs to do the heavy lifting for the offense.|
Browns | Johnny Manziel inconsistent Thursday Thu Jul 30, 02:36 PM
Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel had good and bad moments during practice Thursday, July 30. Manziel worked with the second-team offense during practice and had some problems during drills. During one series of drills, he would have been sacked on the first two snaps, almost threw an interception and had a pass batted down at the line of scrimmage. He did make two nice throws during another part of team drills.
|Footballguys view: Manziel is going to be rough around the edges, so we're not surprised by this report. We like his new dedication and focus on his craft, but Manziel must show well in practice if he wants to overtake Josh McCown as the team's starter.|

Patriots | Tom Brady works with starters Thu Jul 30, 02:12 PM
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady received all of the reps with first-team offense during practice Thursday, July 30, and completed 27 of his 30 passes during team drills.
|Footballguys view: Brady looked great out there in training camp. We'll have to wait and see if he is actually going to stay suspended for the first four games of the year.|

Seahawks | Russell Wilson may not receive new deal Thu Jul 30, 01:54 PM
Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is talking with the Seahawks about a contract extension, but the two sides may not reach an agreement before the start of training camp, according to sources. The two sides do not appear to be in agreement about the amount of money up front or the guaranteed money.
|Footballguys view: The two sides seem to be far apart at this time, but there's really no hurry. Wilson can get the franchise tag next offseason if no new deal is in place.|

Bears | Kevin White's injury not serious Thu Jul 30, 01:46 PM
Chicago Bears WR Kevin White's (shin) shin injury is not believed to be a long-term issue, according to head coach John Fox.
|Footballguys view: Good news for the rookie here. We're excited to watch White in the preseason, and he's got the upside to eventually be one of the best wide receivers in the game. Fox may not be giddy when it comes to playing rookies, but White is so good he could play a larger role than other rookies have under this regime.|

Falcons | Jake Matthews cleared Thu Jul 30, 01:44 PM
Atlanta Falcons OT Jake Matthews (foot) said he has been cleared to participate at the start of training camp.
|Footballguys view: We'll likely see Matthews eased back into the lineup as he comes back from this injury.|
Packers | Jared Abbrederis leaves practice Thu Jul 30, 01:39 PM
Green Bay Packers WR Jared Abbrederis (undisclosed) left practice early Thursday, July 30, because of an undisclosed injury after he fell during a drill.

Patriots | Jimmy Garoppolo struggles Thursday Thu Jul 30, 01:24 PM
New England Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo made several mistakes during practice Thursday, July 30, and the team will work on correcting those mistakes during training camp, according to offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.
|Footballguys view: Garoppolo struggled in practice last year, but he looked good in preseason games. The second-year quarterback may just be bad in practice but good in games. At this time, Garoppolo is set to start the first four games of the year while Brady is suspended.|

Patriots | LeGarrette Blount fails running test Thu Jul 30, 12:59 PM
New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount was placed on the Non-Football Injury list because he was not able to complete the conditioning test at the start of training camp. Players have to run 20 sprints of 50 yards in under eight seconds to pass the test, but Blount was only able to complete 12 reps.
|Footballguys view: Blount will get back out there soon enough. He's set to be the lead back for the Patriots this year, but Blount will miss the first game of the season due to a suspension. He is a two-down thumper and a RB3 for fantasy owners.|
