Titans | Kendall Wright posts strong game Sun Oct 16, 05:42 PM
Tennessee Titans WR Kendall Wright caught eight passes for 133 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown, in a 28-26 win Sunday, Oct. 16, against the Cleveland Browns.
|Footballguys view: Wright is back from the dead in fantasy leagues. He had the best chemistry that any Titans wide receiver has had with Marcus Mariota this year, and Wright had the play of his career on the diving long touchdown catch. He'll be a what the heck flex against Oakland next week to see if he can keep it up.|

Jaguars | Blake Bortles throws one TD, one INT Sun Oct 16, 05:32 PM
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles went 20-for-33 for 271 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Chicago Bears in Week 6.
|Footballguys view: The interception was on Allen Robinson, not Bortles, or he would have had a better fantasy day, but Bortles still had trouble moving the offense most of the game. He did have the throw he needed to create the Arrelious Benn game-winning score, but Bortles will still be a middling streamer against the Raiders next week.|

Titans | Marcus Mariota strong in win Sun Oct 16, 05:31 PM
Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota threw for 284 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-26 win over the Cleveland Browns Sunday, Oct. 16.
|Footballguys view: Mariota had one bad pick throwing against his body on the move, but otherwise was able to take advantage of a Browns defense that lacks the personnel to match up against NFL passing games. Mariota has put two good fantasy games in a row together and he might make it three against the Colts next week.|

Bills | Robert Woods catches TD pass Sun Oct 16, 05:29 PM
Buffalo Bills WR Robert Woods caught five passes for 44 yards and one touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.
|Footballguys view: Woods doesn't have a high weekly ceiling, but he'll lead the Bills wide receivers in targets most weeks. He'll be a viable bye/injury play against the Dolphins next week.|

Bills | Charles Clay catches five passes Sun Oct 16, 05:20 PM
Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay caught five passes for 52 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.
|Footballguys view: Clay is shaping up as a high floor/low ceiling TE option in PPR leagues with Sammy Watkins out, but he left this game with an ankle injury. He's not a bad play against the Dolphins middling linebackers next week if he can get healthy enough to be active.|

Bills | LeSean McCoy scores three TDs Sun Oct 16, 05:17 PM
Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.
|Footballguys view: McCoy even left the game briefly with an injury. The 49ers poor rush defense might be the easiest matchup to exploit in the whole league. Next week, Doug Martin and the Bucs get to enjoy that one. McCoy goes to Miami to face a run defense that usually has problems and he should be an RB1 start for the Bills coming off of a four-game winning streak.|

Bills | Tyrod Taylor has solid game Sun Oct 16, 05:12 PM
Buffalo Bills QB Tyrod Taylor went 17-for-26 for 179 yards and two touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6. He also rushed for 68 yards on eight carries during the game.
|Footballguys view: Basically, everything works against the 49ers defense. Look for Doug Martin and Jameis Winston to get right against them next week. Taylor remains a boom/bust streaming QB option, with some boom in his profile against a Dolphins defense that looked bad until the Steelers imploded in Miami this week.|

49ers | Jeremy Kerley not a big factor Sun Oct 16, 05:05 PM
San Francisco 49ers WR Jeremy Kerley caught two passes for 12 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.
|Footballguys view: Quinton Patton played a much bigger role in the offense in this one. It might not be a lasting effect, but the switch from Blaine Gabbert to Colin Kaepernick seemed to short circuit Kerley's budding value. Next week against Tampa should be a true test of whether Kerley is worth carrying in deep leagues.|

Eagles | Jordan Matthews strong in loss Sun Oct 16, 04:59 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews caught three passes for 75 yards Sunday, Oct. 16, in a 27-20 loss to the Washington Redskins.
|Footballguys view: Matthews caught a long ball to keep the week from being a total loss, but the relative struggles by Carson Wentz and the Eagles passing game against what was a weak pass defense are troubling. Next week against the Vikings, Matthews would be better off on our benches.|

Redskins | Solid numbers for Matt Jones Sun Oct 16, 04:53 PM
Washington Redskins RB Matt Jones rushed 16 times for 135 yards and a touchdown Sunday, Oct. 16, in a 27-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
|Footballguys view: Jones got stronger as the game went on, and finished off the Eagles with a long run. If the Washington running game continues to surge, he'll be a valuable RB2, and he should definitely be in flex consideration against the Lions run defense next week.|

49ers | Torrey Smith finds end zone Sun Oct 16, 04:48 PM
San Francisco 49ers WR Torrey Smith caught three passes for 76 yards and one touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6.
|Footballguys view: Smith could have had two long scores if Colin Kaepernick's deep accuracy was dialed it. Still, his fantasy stock is revived with Kaepernick's return. He'll be a high ceiling what the heck flex against the Bucs' ragtag secondary in Week 7.|

Eagles | Ryan Mathews posts decent numbers Sun Oct 16, 04:45 PM
Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews ran nine times for 60 yards in a 27-20 loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Oct. 16.
|Footballguys view: Mathews was excellent on a per touch basis against the weak Washington run defense, but the Eagles trailed for most of the game which kept the running game from getting on track. Mathews should be on our benches against the Vikings next week.|

Redskins | Another strong game for Kirk Cousins Sun Oct 16, 04:40 PM
Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins threw for two touchdowns and 263 yards Sunday, Oct. 16, in a 27-20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
|Footballguys view: Cousins was better at finishing scoring drives in this game, and he got a lot of help from his running game in a rare occurrence. He'll be a preferred streamer and low QB1 next week against the Lions defense that made Case Keenum look good today.|

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick went 13-for-29 for 187 yards and one touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in Week 6. He also rushed for 66 yards on eight carries during the game.
|Footballguys view: Kaepernick missed an open Torrey Smith deep early in the game or he could have had a very good fantasy game. He'll be a boom/bust streamer play against the Bucs next week. Kaepernick was able to hold his own as a runner after a long layoff.|

Baltimore Ravens CB Jimmy Smith (concussion) suffered a concussion during the team's Week 6 game and was ruled out for the game.
|Footballguys view: Odell Beckham has had a huge game with Smith out. He's the best corner on the Ravens roster and they will need him next week against the Jets and Brandon Marshall.|

Dolphins | Dion Sims in concussion protocol Sun Oct 16, 03:57 PM
Miami Dolphins TE Dion Sims (head) is being evaluated for a concussion.
|Footballguys view: Sims missed time last year with a concussion. Converted quarterback MarQueis Gray is the next man up at tight end for the concussion-thinned Dolphins tight end group.|

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) left the game Sunday, Oct. 16, against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a toe injury. He is questionable to return.

49ers | Carlos Hyde misses time with injury Sun Oct 16, 03:40 PM
San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury during the team's Week 6 game but was able to return.
|Footballguys view: Hyde was a dud but has been able to weather terrible game scripts for most of the season. He's still an RB2 next week against the Bucs. Mike Davis was in for a goal-line series that Hyde missed when he was banged up, or Hyde might not have been a fantasy liability today.|

Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger injures knee Sun Oct 16, 02:06 PM
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) left the team's Week 6 game because of a knee injury and is considered questionable to return.
|Footballguys view: Roethlisberger usually doesn't play 16 games in a season, and the Patriots are up next if this is a multi-week injury. At least the Steelers bye is in Week 8, so the timing would help if this is only a 2-3 week injury. The whole Steelers offense takes a huge hit if Roethlisberger is out next week.|
