Titans | Tennessee signs two UDFAs Fri May 11, 08:03 PM
Undrafted free-agent RB Dalyn Dawkins (Colorado State) and WR Cameron Batson (Texas Tech) signed with the Tennessee Titans Friday, May 11. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: The nephew of Hall of Fame safety Brian Dawkins, the younger Dawkins was a quick scatback for the Rams of Colorado State. Dawkins is a fantastic receiver out of the backfield, but at 5'8" 183 pounds he lacks the body armor of anything more than a part-time back.|
Texans | Houston signs three more picks Fri May 11, 07:10 PM
Houston Texans sixth-round draft choice TE Jordan M. Thomas and seventh-round draft choices LB Peter Kalambayi and CB Jermaine Kelly signed four-year contracts Friday, May 11. Financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Thomas is a big-bodied (280 pounds) target who used to be a wide receiver. He's still raw at the position and needs work as a blocker. However, his size alone could make him a decent red zone option for the Texans.|
Steelers | Terrell Edmunds works at different spots Fri May 11, 07:09 PM
Pittsburgh Steelers S Terrell Edmunds said he lined up at linebacker and safety during practice Friday, May 11.
|Footballguys view: The Steelers first-round pick in 2018 moved all over the field during his time in college with the Hokies. Edmunds has played cornerback, nickel corner, free safety and 'rover' over the last three years. It's not a surprise the Steelers are moving him around. His versatility has to be an attractive asset given the team selected him on the first day of the draft even though most felt he would be a mid-round pick.|
Colts | Indy adds Rakeem Nunez-Roches Fri May 11, 06:50 PM
The Indianapolis Colts claimed DE Rakeem Nunez-Roches off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs Friday, May 11. The team also waived LB Joshua Perry.
|Footballguys view: The Colts now take over Nunez-Roches' entire $1.9 million salary for 2018. It's a bit of an odd pairing given the Colts defensive scheme, but we'll see if a fresh start can do Nunez-Roches some good.|

Seahawks | Stephen Morris waived Fri May 11, 06:46 PM
Seattle Seahawks QB Stephen Morris was waived Friday, May 11, according to a source.
|Footballguys view: The team has three quarterbacks on the roster after this move. Starter Russell Wilson with Austin Davis and Alex McGough competing for the primary backup job. Morris is mechanically sound and athletic, but his game isn't pro level and he's bounced around during his short time in the pros. He might surface as a camp arm somewhere.|
Patriots | New England signs five picks Fri May 11, 06:40 PM
New England Patriots fifth-round draft choice LB Ja'Whaun Bentley, sixth-round draft choices LB Christian Sam and WR Braxton Berrios and seventh-round draft choices CB Keion Crossen and TE Ryan Izzo signed four-year contracts Friday, May 11. Financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Berrios had a good week of practice at the Reese's Senior Bowl earlier this year. The Hurricanes receiver is flashy with the ball in his hands. He can contribute as a slot/underneath receiver or on special teams as a return man.|
Cardinals | Greg Little trying out for Cards Fri May 11, 05:57 PM
Free-agent WR Greg Little (Bengals) is participating in the Arizona Cardinals' rookie minicamp this weekend on a tryout basis.
|Footballguys view: A second-round pick (Browns) in 2011, Little hasn't played in a game since 2014. He spent all of last year out of football and is just looking to get another shot to prove himself.|

Bears | Anthony Miller to be limited Fri May 11, 05:45 PM
Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller (foot) will not participate in team drills during the rookie minicamp this week because he is coming off a foot injury.
|Footballguys view: Miller was a playmaker in college for Memphis, and he can bring that ability to the field for the Bears in the pros. He has recovered from the injury, but the team wants to be cautious.|
Cowboys | Leighton Vander Esch contract update Fri May 11, 05:44 PM
Updating a previous report, Dallas Cowboys LB Leighton Vander Esch signed a four-year deal worth $11.847 million. The deal includes a $6.696 million signing bonus.Link to story

Bengals | Four Bengals picks sign deals Fri May 11, 05:22 PM
Cincinnati Bengals fifth-round draft choices CB Davontae Harris and DT Andrew Brown and seventh-round draft choices QB Logan Woodside and OG Rod Taylor signed four-year contracts Friday, May 11. Financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Woodside could be an interesting developmental quarterback. He was incredibly accurate in college, and Woodside put up some big numbers leading the Toledo offense finishing his college career as the all-time leader for the Rockets in passing yards (10,514) and passing touchdowns (93). He doesn't have the strongest arm and is undersized by NFL standards.|
Bengals | Devonte Boyd joins Bengals Fri May 11, 05:14 PM
Undrafted free-agent WR Devonte Boyd (Nevada-Las Vegas) signed with the Cincinnati Bengals Friday, May 11. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: At 6'1" 185 pounds, Boyd isn't afraid to go across the middle of the field and has good run-after-the-catch ability. He can be pushed around by stronger corners and needs to improve his play strength to maximize his pro potential. He's buried on the depth chart but is athletic enough to perhaps make the team as a deep reserve receiver and return man.|
Cowboys | Leighton Vander Esch signs deal Fri May 11, 05:03 PM
Dallas Cowboys first-round draft choice LB Leighton Vander Esch agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Cowboys Friday, May 11, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal includes a fifth-year option.
|Footballguys view: Vander-Esch is like a heat-seeking missile on the field. He can find the play quickly and doesn't take false steps on his way to making the tackle. He should start as the team's strong-side linebacker in 2018.|
Patriots | Four linemen to miss workouts Fri May 11, 05:00 PM
New England Patriots OT Isaiah Wynn (shoulder), OT Trent Brown (shoulder), OT Marcus Cannon (ankle) and OG Joe Thuney (foot) will miss offseason workouts and minicamp because of injuries, according to offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia.Link to story
Patriots | Marcus Cannon likely will stay at RT Fri May 11, 04:45 PM
New England Patriots OT Marcus Cannon is the team's preferred choice at right tackle this upcoming season, according to offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia.Link to story
Patriots | Isaiah Wynn will work at LT Fri May 11, 04:36 PM
New England Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia said OT Isaiah Wynn will line up at left tackle during rookie minicamp.
|Footballguys view: An interesting move for the Patriots considering most felt Wynn would shift inside to guard as a pro. We'll see if his shorter-than-ideal arms hamper his ability to play left tackle for the Patriots.|
Bills | Buffalo signs several UDFAs Fri May 11, 04:36 PM
Undrafted free-agent PK Tyler Davis (Penn State), RB Keith Ford (Texas A&M) and WR Cam Phillips (Virginia Tech) signed three-year deals with the Buffalo Bills Friday, May 11. Financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Ford is an interesting PFA we'll be monitoring in super deep dynasty leagues. Originally an Oklahoma Sooner, Ford transferred to Texas A&M and played for the Aggies over the last two years. He's a hard-charging running back who doesn't mind dealing out punishment with his pads. Ford is not overly elusive, and his vision leaves something to be desired but he can grind if called upon.|
Cowboys | Dallas signs six draft picks Fri May 11, 04:20 PM
Dallas Cowboys fourth-round draft choices DE Dorance Armstrong and TE Dalton Schultz, fifth-round draft choice QB Mike White, sixth-round draft choices LB Chris Covington and WR Cedrick Wilson and seventh-round draft choice RB Bo Scarbrough signed four-year contracts with the Cowboys Friday, May 11, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Schultz is nasty as a blocker and loves to mix it up. He's a decent receiver who can be asked to go down the seam against linebackers. Without Jason Witten (retired), the Cowboys will use a TEBC with Schultz and guys like Rico Gathers, Geoff Swaim, and Blake Jarwin.|
Cowboys | Maliek Collins out around 3 months Fri May 11, 04:06 PM

Eagles | Philly encouraged by Carson Wentz's progress Fri May 11, 02:51 PM
Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (knee) has yet to be medically cleared, but the team is 'highly encouraged' by the progress he has made in his rehab from a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. Nevertheless, head coach Doug Pederson made it clear he has no intention to rush Wentz back, telling reporters his quarterback will be 'ready when he's ready, and when we feel he's ready.'
|Footballguys view: Great news for the Eagles here, and it falls in line with the reports that have been coming out this entire time. Wentz is doing well in his recovery and might even be ahead by some standards. That's great, but it's still too early to tell if he's going to get much (if any) work in the preseason and training camp. Even Wentz's status for Week 1 of the regular season is in doubt. We'll all be staying tuned in here.|

New York Giants second-round OG Will Hernandez, third-round LB Lorenzo Carter and fourth-round QB Kyle Lauletta signed four-year contracts Friday, May 11. Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Lauletta has drawn some Tony Romo comparisons on 'draft Twitter' and he's a rookie quarterback with intriguing upside. He'll compete with second-year pro Davis Webb to be the backup quarterback behind Eli Manning in 2018. Lauletta is athletic, accurate and can keep plays alive with his feet while keeping his eyes downfield. We're monitoring him in dynasty leagues.|
Colts | Indianapolis inks Kasen Williams Fri May 11, 01:54 PM

Patriots | Malcolm Mitchell likely to go for OTAs Fri May 11, 01:27 PM
New England Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell (knee) is expected to participate in OTAs after missing all of the 2017 season with a knee injury, according to The Athletic's Jeff Howe.
|Footballguys view: Mitchell is obviously in a make-or-break year in 2018. Even if he stays healthy, finding snaps and targets could prove to be difficult if the Patriots receivers and tight ends are at full strength. Snatch him up for a cheap price in dynasty leagues if you liked what he showed as a rookie in 2016 (32 catches, 401 yards, four touchdowns).|

Redskins | Arie Kouandjio likely done for season Fri May 11, 12:16 PM

Dallas Cowboys TE Rico Gathers has been cleared to play after fully recovering from the concussion, neck and jaw injuries he suffered last August, according to ESPN's Todd Archer.
|Footballguys view: Gathers has intriguing size and the athleticism to box out smaller defenders. With Jason Witten retired, Gathers should be part of the mix at tight end with guys like Geoff Swaim, Blake Jarwin and rookie Dalton Schultz.|

Panthers | Kenjon Barner signs with Panthers Fri May 11, 10:23 AM
Free-agent RB Kenjon Barner (Eagles) signed an undisclosed deal with the Carolina Panthers Friday, May 11.
|Footballguys view: Barner began his career with the Panthers as a sixth-round pick (2013) out of Oregon. The Panthers need some depth at the position, even after adding C.J. Anderson in free agency, because they put Fozzy Whittaker on Injured Reserve. Barner can help give them veteran depth at the running back position and can also contribute on special teams.|

Bills | Taron Johnson signs rookie deal Fri May 11, 10:09 AM
Buffalo Bills fourth-round pick CB Taron Johnson to a four-year contract Friday, May 11. Financial terms weren't disclosed. Johnson will likely battle CB Phillip Gaines for the nickel corner spot.Link to story
Lions | Kerryon Johnson signs rookie pact Fri May 11, 08:55 AM
Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson signed his rookie four-year deal Friday, May 11. Financial terms weren't disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Johnson was a touchdown hog at Auburn, scoring 29 rushing touchdowns over the last two seasons. Patience is his best attribute as Johnson does a good job of allowing his blocks to set up fully in front of him before making his move. The Lions can't find a good runner to save their life and have missed on several prospects in recent years. Perhaps Johnson could finally be the runner this team needs to complement QB Matthew Stafford.|
Colts | Quenton Nelson among nine signees for Colts Fri May 11, 08:47 AM
Indianapolis Colts OG Quenton Nelson, DE Kemoko Turay, DE Tyquan Lewis, RB Nyheim Hines, WR Daurice Fountain, RB Jordan Wilkins, WR Deon Cain, LB Matthew Adams and LB Zaire Franklin signed their rookie four-year deals Friday, May 11. Nelson, a first-round pick, has an option for a fifth year. Financial terms weren't disclosed.
|Footballguys view: Keep an eye on Hines, Fountain and Wilkins here. Hines is a running back/slot receiver who can make big plays with explosion and burst. Fountain is a better-than-advertised route runner who can get open and make plays after the catch. Wilkins is an early fantasy darling out there and seen as a player with Matt Forte-like ability who could take over the backfield duties from Marlon Mack. Stay tuned.|

Cowboys | Tavon Austin to be busy? Thu May 10, 10:15 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Tavon Austin could touch the ball 'a dozen to two dozen' times per game this season, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones.
|Footballguys view: It's hard to say how realistic this is, or what it means. We've heard it before about Austin and it never happens. But there is a potential talent gap with the departures of Dez Bryant and Jason Witten, so we're optimistic the opportunity will be there. The execution? Austin doesn't have our faith on that end.|

Broncos | DaeSean Hamilton likes the slot Thu May 10, 10:06 PM
Denver Broncos WR DaeSean Hamilton said he is able to line up anywhere on the field but has 'made a lot of money' in the slot.
|Footballguys view: The Broncos have some very good wide receivers already, but at some point may move on from Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. We aren't expecting big things this year but he's worth watching, with an eye towards the future.|

Cardinals | Josh Rosen signs rookie deal Thu May 10, 09:23 PM
Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen signed a four-year deal worth $17.84 million with an $11 million signing bonus Thursday, May 10.
|Footballguys view: Rosen has the best chance to start from the best position as the Cardinals signal caller. That's not to say the situation is ideal or he's a top ten fantasy quarterback, but that he has Larry Fitzgerald, David Johnson and a decent line, as well as a good coaching staff. It makes him the best of the bunch right now, though we wouldn't invest in him for a redraft league this year.|

Chicago Bears WR Anthony Miller, C James Daniels, LB Joel Iyiegbuniwe, DE Bilal Nichols, LB Kylie Fitts and WR Javon Wims signed their four-year rookie contracts Thursday, May 10.
|Footballguys view: Regardless of where he was drafted, Miller could have a shot to contribute because the Bears don't have an overabundance of talent at the position.|
NFL | Adrian Peterson says he's fully healthy Thu May 10, 08:46 PM
Free-agent RB Adrian Peterson (Cardinals) said he is 'fully healthy' and 'ready to go' for the upcoming season. In addition, he said his neck has been cleared by 'multiple doctors.'
|Footballguys view: It's hard to imagine anyone giving him a significant role, and he may not even get a nibble as he has not exactly looked like someone who wants to be a role player, or can execute anymore. We think Peterson should call it a career.|
