Free agent LB Will Witherspoon (Rams) praised WR Kenny Britt, saying he will be huge boost for the team's offense. 'I think the addition of Kenny Britt will be a huge boost for the Rams offense. I expect him to blossom into a star,' Witherspoon said.
| Footballguys view: Talent has never been a question with Britt. He's phenomenally gifted, but Britt has struggled to impress as a pro due to injury and inconsistency. Just like Jared Cook last year, Britt is getting a fresh start with the Rams (and former Titans head coach Jeff Fisher) this year. We'll see if it pays off. |

'It is that pay it forward situation. You've got to pay it forward for your team, because if you just try and trash a guy and don't help him to help him become a pro, you're only hurting everyone else around him. You're hurting the organization. You're hurting yourself and you're hurting the team. You've got to build those guys and help them be the best possible player they can,' Witherspoon said.

NFL Players, including Seattle Seahawks OG Chester Pitts and Houston Texans LB Will Witherspoon, were critical of the letter sent by commissioner Roger Goodell, stressing the need to return to the bargaining table, according to The Associated Press. 'I've told my guys to take the letter and set it on fire. We're not that stupid,' said Pitts, whose reaction was relayed by NFLPA assistant executive director George Atallah. Witherspoon called it 'very distasteful' for Goodell to send out such a letter. 'If we were in court, I would compare to a lawyer trying to lead a witness,' Witherspoon texted. 'I duly object to the fact he has highlighted his highpoints but not given them any ground to stand on!'
