Cowboys | Terrance Williams has option declined Mon Feb 18, 04:18 PM
Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent WR Terrance Williams' option was not exercised Monday, Feb. 18, according to sources. He is now a free agent.
Footballguys view: Williams may not have much of a market when the new league year begins on March 13th. He never quite played up to his potential with the Cowboys and now will try to find a new home. In 2018, Williams played in only three games and caught just two passes for 18 yards. A foot fracture (and a three-game suspension) ended his 2018 season prematurely. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams excused from practice Sat Sep 29, 09:49 AM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams was given an excused absence from practice Friday, Sept. 28, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Fantasy GMs are not keeping Williams on the roster...even in deep bench leagues. The Cowboys passing game is not one to invest in. The absence was not related to a possible suspension and Williams did not meet with league officials. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams fighting foot pain Sun Aug 5, 10:34 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (foot) said Sunday, Aug. 5, that he has been practicing with foot pain throughout the offseason.
Footballguys view: Williams has flashed just a little bit as a pro but he seems to get banged up quite a bit. Here we go again with another injury. The Cowboys added Allen Hurns and rookie Michael Gallup this offseason so Williams is fourth on the depth chart (as Cole Beasley should work as the no3./slot) in 2018. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams should be ready Thu Jun 14, 01:04 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (foot) is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, according to head coach Jason Garrett.
Footballguys view: The wide receiver group is a bit disheveled right now, with no real clarity about where Williams fits, save that he is not Dez Bryant's replacement. Allen Hurns and rookie Michael Gallup both look like candidates to be ahead of Williams. We aren't bullish on him and are passing him by in drafts. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams arrested Sat May 19, 03:45 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams was arrested in Dallas Saturday, May 19, on suspicion of public intoxication. He could also be charged with fleeing the scene of an accident and striking a structure or highway landscaping depending on his involvement in a one-car accident of his Lamborghini.
Footballguys view: This sounds like it could have been much worse, and Williams should consider himself lucky that he was able to walk away. Without Dez Bryant, the Cowboys need Williams to have a bounce back year. Last year, Williams only went over 100 yards receiving in a game once and didn't have a receiving touchdown. He needs to get healthy (currently recovering from offseason foot surgery), stay out of trouble and show that he can produce at a higher level in 2018. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams on schedule Tue May 15, 02:47 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (foot) is on schedule in his rehabilitation from surgery on his broken foot, according to head coach Jason Garrett.
Footballguys view: The foot injury occurred in the offseason, and Williams underwent surgery back in February. Williams has not been involved in any teaching sessions yet this offseason but has been working with trainers on the side. Without Dez Bryant, the Cowboys could certainly use a veteran like Williams to elevate his game in 2018. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams sidelined Mon Mar 26, 01:29 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (foot) underwent offseason surgery to repair a broken foot, according to sources.
Footballguys view: Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Williams could miss some offseason workouts. It's a bit of a make-or-break year for Williams as he's never really played up to his potential as a pro. We should see an update on his availability around training camp (if he misses the offseason program up to that point). |

Cowboys | Questionable tag for Terrance Williams Sat Sep 23, 06:10 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (ankle) is listed as questionable for the team's Week 3 game.
Footballguys view: Williams has been limited during the week of practice, but it looks like he'll play on Monday night against the Cardinals. Fantasy owners aren't lined up to start him anyway, and you likely have much better options as Williams is merely a desperation 'what the heck' flex. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams practices Saturday Sat Sep 23, 01:09 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (ankle) was back at practice Saturday, Sept. 23, putting him on track to play on Monday Night Football versus the Arizona Cardinals to conclude Week 3.
Footballguys view: Williams did not practice Friday, and that put his status for Week 3 in question. He's out there on Saturday and is likely to give it a go against the Cardinals on Monday night. Fantasy owners shouldn't be looking to Williams as anything more than a desperation 'what the heck' flex. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams misses practice Friday Sat Sep 23, 09:46 AM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (ankle) was added to the injury report after not practicing Friday, Sept. 22.
Footballguys view: A late addition to the injury report during the week is never a good sign. If Williams can't play (or is limited by this ankle problem), we could see more from Cole Beasley. |

Cowboys | Week 2 injury report for Dallas Fri Sep 15, 03:43 PM
Dallas Cowboys LB Anthony Hitchens (knee) and CB Orlando Scandrick (hand) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 2. S Byron Jones (groin) and WR Terrance Williams (ankle) were limited in practice Friday, Sept. 15, and are listed as questionable. CBs Chidobe Awuzie (ankle) and Jourdan Lewis (hamstring) each participated fully in practice Friday for the third straight day and are not on the injury report.
Footballguys view: The Cowboys corners will be without their most experienced member as they face one of the best wide receiver duos in the league. Scandrick's absence helps Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams remains sidelined Thu Sep 14, 01:09 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (ankle) did not practice Thursday, Sept. 14.

Cowboys | Terrance Williams does not practice Wed Sep 13, 05:41 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams (ankle) was unable to practice Wednesday, Sept. 13.
Footballguys view: Williams and the Cowboys will have their hands full with the Broncos defense on Sunday. With CB Aqib Talib matched up against WR Dez Bryant, we should see Williams covered by either Chris Harris Jr. or Bradley Roby. Williams is a WR5 or 'what the heck' flex for fantasy owners in Week 2. |

Free-agent WR Terrance Williams (Cowboys) agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys Friday, March 10, according to a source. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Williams sticks with the Cowboys, but we're not seeing him as a viable fantasy option. He's flashed at times as a pro (eight touchdowns in 2014, 840 receiving yards in 2015) but Williams has never seemed to put it all together in one season. |

Cowboys | Dallas wants to re-sign receivers Tue Jan 24, 07:23 PM
Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent WRs Terrance Williams and Brice Butler will hopefully be re-signed this offseason, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones.
Footballguys view: Butler has the speed to take off the top of the defense, and they should be able to keep him around at a good price. Williams perhaps has more potential, and maybe a new start somewhere else would do him some good. If he's happy with his no.2 role behind Dez Bryant, then Williams could stick with Dallas. |

Cowboys | Terrance Williams not worried Thu May 19, 04:46 PM
Dallas Cowboys WR Terrance Williams is in the final year of his rookie contract, but he's focused on the upcoming season, not a possible extension or new team. 'Now, I'm just ready to be quiet and work and let my play speak for [itself],' Williams said. 'You can always talk [about] what you're going to do and then if it doesn't go as planned, it's like a slap to your face. So I'm just ready to work and just show my play.'
Footballguys view: We don't expect a ton from Williams if Dez Bryant is healthy, and it seems like his 52 catches for 840 yards could be his high water mark in Dallas - one we don't expect him to surpass in 2016. Consider him a WR6 or so this year. |
