Seahawks | Jesse Williams re-signs Wed Apr 1, 05:15 PM
Seattle Seahawks DT Jesse Williams re-signed Wednesday, April 1.
Footballguys view: It's no surprise that after two season spent on Injured Reserve due to knee injuries, Williams did not get any takers on the open market. The Seahawks let him go about a month ago, but they've decided to bring him back and see if he can stay healthy and make the team. |
Seahawks | Jesse Williams may return Tue Mar 17, 07:08 AM
Free-agent DT Jesse Williams (Seahawks) may return to the club in 2015, according to Wiliams himself.
Footballguys view: Williams was waived after knee injuries ended his last two seasons in Seattle. If healthy, he can work as a run-stuffing rotational player. |

Seahawks | Jesse Williams lighter Mon Jun 30, 09:03 AM
Seattle Seahawks DT Jesse Williams dropped about 20 pounds to 312 pounds and is playing without pain in his knees this season.
Footballguys view: The lighter weight is going to help his joints, and it might help him get off the line quicker. Williams is competing for a backup position on the defensive line. Even though the Seahawks rotate their defensive linemen, Williams may not get much playing time unless there's an injury to someone above him on the depth chart. |

Seahawks | Jesse Williams goes on IR Mon Aug 26, 01:30 PM
The Seattle Seahawks have placed DT Jesse Williams (undisclosed) on Injured Reserve, ending his 2013 season.
Footballguys view: Williams fell to the fifth-round in the 2013 NFL draft largely due to a nagging knee injury. Now on Injured Reserve Williams can take all the time he needs to get healthy and produce at a high level. Many in the scouting community felt Williams had first-round talent because of his functional strength and ability to control the point of attack. |

The Seattle Seahawks have signed fourth-round draft choice WR Chris Harper, fifth-round draft choices DT Jesse Williams and TE Luke Willson, and seventh-round draft choices OG Ryan Seymour and C Jared Smith to multi-year deals. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Harper is the player to watch here. He was impressive at the Senior Bowl where he didn't drop a single pass all week during practice. Harper reminds some in the scouting community of a young Anquan Boldin (49ers) because of his size and run after the catch ability. |
