Footballguys view: Williams has good upside and could develop into a fine receiver for the Eagles in the future. |

Chargers | Six players let go Sat Sep 4, 03:11 PM
The San Diego Chargers have released QB Jonathan Crompton, CB Nate Vasher, RBs Curtis Brinkley and Shawnbrey McNeal as well as WRs Seyi Ajirotutu and Jeremy Williams, reports Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Footballguys view: We feel both WRs Seyi Ajirotutu and Jeremy Williams could be added to the practice squad because of their developmental upside. Even QB Jonathan Crompton might be worth a spot so he can continue to develop his pro game. |

Chargers | Three could compete for final WR spot Mon Aug 23, 01:27 PM
San Diego Chargers WRs Josh Reed, Seyi Ajirotutu and Jeremy Williams could compete for the final receiver spot on the roster if the team decides to keep only four wide receivers on their final roster, reports Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Footballguys view: Williams did not do much in the game against the Cowboys, but Seyi Ajirotutu had a big game. Our very own Cecil Lammey watched Ajirotutu up close during the week of practice for the Shrine Game in Orlando earlier this year and came away impressed with the young receiver's game. Ajirotutu is a raw prospect with good upside, and is known as a hard worker and a fast learner. |

Chargers | Jeremy Williams stepping forward Sat Jul 31, 04:32 PM
San Diego Chargers rookie WR Jeremy Williams is pulling away in the race for the team's No. 5 receiver, reports Kevin Acee, of The San Diego Union-Tribune.
Footballguys view: Williams had first-round talent, but fell to the ranks of the undrafted because of a history of knee problems. If he stays healthy then he could win the slot receiver job for the Chargers this year. |

Chargers | Three could compete for final WR spot Sat May 8, 12:07 AM
Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers WR Jeremy Williams, WR Seyi Ajirotutu and WR Ernest Smith could compete for the team's final wide receiver spot.
Footballguys view: We like both Williams and Ajirotutu in this battle. Williams was productive at Tulane, but has a history of knee problems. Ajirotutu was teammates with RB Ryan Mathews at Fresno State, and has a great size/speed combination. The Chargers may like both just as much as we do and decide to sneak one of them (perhaps Ajirotutu) through to the practice squad. |

Chargers | 19 UDFAs signed Mon Apr 26, 03:17 PM
The San Diego Chargers have announced they have signed undrafted free-agent WR Seyi Ajirotutu (Fresno State), OT Bradt Bond (Oklahoma State), TE Richard Brockel (Boise State), TE Dajleon Farr (Memphis), WR Richard Goodman (Florida State), OG Jeff Hansen (Montana State), FS Cory Jackson (Maryland), WR Jordyn Jackson (Eastern Oregon), OT Justin Jeffries (Kentucky), P Cort Johnson (West Texas A&M), LB Brandon Lang (Troy State), RB Shawnbrey McNeal (Southern Methodist), OT Ryan Otterson (Wyoming), OT Stephan Richmond (Minnesota), CB Traye Simmons (Minnesota), WR Ernest Smith (Baylor), WR Bryan Walters (Cornell), WR Jeremy Williams (Tulane) and LB Kion Wilson (South Florida). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Seyi Ajirotutu gets to join his college teammate (and first-round pick) Ryan Mathews in San Diego. Our very own Cecil Lammey saw Ajirotutu during the week of practice at the Shrine Game in Orlando earlier this year and came away impressed. Ajirotutu is a smooth strider that can get on top of a defense in a hurry. He was working closely with WR coach Keenan McCardell at that game, and seemed to be a fast learner and hard worker. The rookie may have to stick around on the practice squad, but he has upside to be a quality reserve one day. |

Saints | J. Williams to work out for team Mon Apr 5, 02:32 PM
Joe Fortenbaugh, of the National Football Post, reports the New Orleans Saints are scheduled to work out Tulane WR Jeremy Williams Thursday, April 8.
Footballguys view: Williams is a raw prospect, but has the physical tools to become a productive starter when he develops. He has a good size/speed combination, knows how to high point passes, and shows good concentration. Williams is also very aggressive with the ball in his hands, and has outstanding run after the catch ability. |
