Cardinals | Fitzgerald to draw Richard Sherman?    Fri Nov 13, 04:45 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, who leads the Cardinals in catches (55), receiving yards (706) and touchdowns (seven), could be followed by Seattle Seahawks shutdown CB Richard Sherman in Week 10. Sherman has been matched up against the opposing team's best receiver for several games this year, but Fitzgerald wonders who he might be asked to cover this weekend. Fitzgerald is playing mostly out of the slot this year, so Seahawks CBs Cary Williams or DeShawn Shead would need to be used on the outside if Sherman matches up with Fitzgerald.

Footballguys view: Fitzgerald has been shut down during his two games with Palmer against the Seahawks, but this offensive line is a lot better than 2013's. Fitzgerald should stay in your lineups even though there's known risk with this matchup.

Seahawks | Cary Williams agrees with Seattle    Tue Mar 10, 08:30 AM

Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent CB Cary Williams agreed to a three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks. The lack of state income tax in Washington played a role in his decision to sign.

Footballguys view: Williams swaps places with Byron Maxwell who is set to sign with the Eagles. He's just an average cornerback, but he has the size and plays with the fire that Seattle loves in the secondary. We'll see how he fits in the "Legion of Boom" in 2015.

Philadelphia Eagles CB Cary Williams is expected to remain on Philadelphia's roster beyond the fifth day of the new league year, which would ensure that his $4.75 million base salary for 2014 becomes guaranteed.

Footballguys view: Perhaps Williams is slightly overpaid at that salary, but with the cap going up, the free agent market is not going to be a buyer's market this year.
