Cardinals | Kevin White cut    Wed Aug 21, 06:31 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Kevin White was released Wednesday, Aug. 21, according to a source.

Footballguys view: White was once a top 10 pick but a combination of injuries and lack of impact has made his career a footnote at this point. He'll be lucky if he gets a look in another camp.

Cardinals | Kevin White ruled out    Sat Aug 10, 09:29 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Kevin White (hamstring) has been ruled out for the preseason game against the Oakland Raiders Thursday, Aug. 15.

Footballguys view: White was added to deep sleeper lists when he landed in the first pure air raid offense after playing in the scheme at West Virginia, but this hamstring issue probably has him on the outside looking in at final cuts.

Cardinals | Kevin White a starter?    Sat Aug 3, 10:48 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Kevin White is listed as the No. 3 receiver on Arizona's first depth chart.

Footballguys view: Preliminary depth charts are very unreliable, but White is at least in the range of making the team on this news, and he has air raid experience from his time at West Virginia. If he makes the team and is in line to get snaps, we'll keep him on the waiver wire watch list.

Cardinals | Kevin White excited to 'revive' career    Tue Jul 9, 08:54 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Kevin White thinks he can get his career back on track in Arizona after playing just 14 games over four years since being selected with the No. 7 pick of the 2015 draft by the Chicago Bears. 'Oh, man. This could revive my career,' White said. ' ... The fans haven't seen Kevin White yet. I think, God-willing, they'll be able to see it this year under this offense and this coaching staff and this organization.'

Footballguys view: White has his work cut out for him, largely due to the talented trio of rookie WRs the Cardinals added this offseason. They've got Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk at the top of the depth chart, but rookie Hakeem Butler, Andy Isabella and Keesean Johnson are all likely ahead of White. A first-round pick for the Bears in the 2015 NFL draft, not only has White never played a full season but he's never played 16 games in his four-year career.

Cardinals | Kevin White still a threat?    Thu Mar 28, 09:12 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Kevin White can be a 'dangerous' player in the NFL, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. 'He's still 6-3, 205 and ran a 4.3 at the combine,' Kingsbury said.

Cardinals | Arizona meets with Kevin White    Thu Mar 14, 06:20 PM

Free-agent WR Kevin White (Bears) met with the Arizona Cardinals Thursday, March 14, according to a source.

Footballguys view: A top-10 pick for the Bears in the 2015 NFL draft, White has only appeared in 14 games as a pro. He gets a fresh start with the Cardinals. Injuries may have robbed him of the talent that made him a top pick, but we're still curious about his progress but only in super deep dynasty leagues.

Bears | Kevin White almost is the hero    Sun Oct 21, 07:20 PM

Bears | Kevin White expected to make the cut    Tue Aug 28, 12:10 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White is projected to make the 53-man roster, according to ESPN's to Jeff Dickerson.

Footballguys view: A first-round pick in 2015, White has only played in five games during his three years with the Bears. Injuries have knocked his career off track to this point. He's buried on the depth chart (likely the Bears no4 wide receiver) but he's healthy so they might as well see what he can do as a reserve player.

Bears | Kevin White finds end zone    Sat Aug 25, 04:54 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White caught two passes for 33 yards and one touchdown in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 25.

Footballguys view: White has talent but not much durability, and has played just five games in two years, catching just 21 balls for 193 yards. That's not a resume to get excited about, and we are not recommending having him on your roster even in deeper leagues.

Bears | Kevin White staying busy    Sun Jul 22, 05:48 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White was targeted 'way more frequently' during practice Sunday, July 22, than he was all of last summer, according to Rich Campbell of The Chicago Tribune.

Footballguys view: White actually has a chance to win the outside receiver job opposite Allen Robinson this year, and has a fresh start with a new coaching staff. He's not worth a late round pick, but could find his way onto early season waiver wire lists if he stays healthy and finally plays up to his considerable physical gifts.

Bears | Kevin White likely safe    Mon Jul 16, 12:28 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White likely is a safe bet to make the 53-man roster because his $2.69 million salary this season is guaranteed, in the opinion of the Chicago Sun-Times' Patrick Finley.

Footballguys view: The no.7 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft has seen his pro career knocked off track almost completely due to injury. He's appeared in only five games with the Bears and has only 21 receptions in the NFL. White only played one game in 2017 and is looking to finally stay healthy and produce in 2018. The Bears have revamped their WR corps, but we'll still be monitoring White in dynasty leagues...mostly to see if there's anything to get excited about when he goes to a different team.

Bears | Kevin White a pleasant surprise during spring    Fri Jun 15, 12:42 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White is to stay healthy throughout the off-season program and 'looked better than expected,' according to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson.

Footballguys view: White's game has been set back by injury in the pros. A first-round pick in 2015, White has appeared in only five games with the Bears. If they get anything from him in 2018 that's a bonus. White is competing for a spot on the depth chart behind Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel and rookie Anthony Miller.

Bears | Kevin White eager to make an impact    Thu Jun 7, 10:01 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White has been practicing with 'a lot of passion' during OTAs, according to QB Mitchell Trubisky, and Trubisky said the two have been communicating on an off the field.

Footballguys view: It's a make-or-break year for White. A first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft, White's career has been set back by injuries and he's only played five games in three seasons. With Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel and Anthony Miller ahead of him on the depth chart, White is competing to be the fourth spot.

Bears | Kevin White may be in roster jeopardy    Sat Jun 2, 07:35 AM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White is not a lock for the 53-man roster, even though he was a second-round draft pick in 2015. Injuries have limited his effectiveness.

Footballguys view: No surprise here. The no.7 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft has only appeared in five games as a pro. He had blazing speed in college at West Virginia but injuries may have robbed him of his best asset. Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel and rookie Anthony Miller should be the top three WRs on the depth chart.

Bears | Kevin White not setting goals    Thu May 24, 10:47 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White said he isn't worried about his fifth-year option being declined and believes 'anything' is possible for him this season.

Footballguys view: White's pro career has been marred by injury in a big way. A first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft, White has only appeared in five games as a pro. His trademark speed from college may be a thing of the past after multiple injuries. White is going to face more and better competition this year after the Bears made moves in the draft and free agency to upgrade the position.

Bears | Kevin White's option not exercised     Wed May 2, 02:24 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White's fifth-year option will not be picked up, according to a source. White is set to become an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

Footballguys view: White's pro career has been set back in a major way by injury. A first-round pick in 2015, White has only played in five games as a pro. These injuries may have robbed him of the trademark speed he had in college at West Virginia years ago. White is healthy now and enters the Bears camp as the No.4 wideout.

Bears | Kevin White at minicamp    Wed Apr 18, 04:31 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (shoulder) is participating in minicamp this week as he continues in his recovery from a broken shoulder blade last year.

Footballguys view: White was the team's first-round pick in 2015 but he has struggled with injuries and inconsistencies as a pro. He's appeared in five games over three seasons in the NFL and has only 21 catches during that time. Head coach Matt Nagy said White has looked sharp and healthy so far. It's clearly a make-or-break year for White in 2018.

Bears | Chicago won't give up on Kevin White     Sat Mar 31, 10:54 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White will have 'every opportunity to succeed,' according to head coach Matt Nagy.

Footballguys view: White was a top-10 pick in 2015, but he's only appeared in five games during his pro career. Injuries have robbed him of playing time, but the team is not throwing in the towel on the speedy receiver yet. White has been working out in California with QB Mitchell Trubisky this offseason.

Bears | Kevin White fighting his way back    Wed Mar 7, 01:43 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (shoulder) has been working hard to recover from a broken shoulder blade he suffered last season, according to QB Mitchell Trubisky. White has been working out with Trubisky in California this week.

Footballguys view: That's good news White is working out with his quarterback because this is a make-or-break season for him. A top-10 pick in the 2015 NFL draft, White's pro career has been nearly eliminated by injury. He's played in five games and only caught 21 passes for 193 yards in three seasons. Many dynasty owners have already moved on but there might still be some holding out hope.

Bears | Kevin White won't come off IR    Thu Nov 30, 12:29 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (collarbone) will remain on the Reserve/Injured list the rest of the season.

Footballguys view: When they cut Alshon Jeffery loose they were betting on White to come back. He didn't and now they are looking at rebooting the receivers again this offseason.

Bears | Kevin White officially on IR    Tue Sep 12, 03:29 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (scapula) was officially placed on the Reserve/Injured list Tuesday, Sept. 12.

Footballguys view: A first-round pick in 2015, White has appeared in only five games during his pro career. Next season will be a make-it-or-break-it year for the young wide receiver. The Bears are thin at wide receiver losing White and Cameron Meredith, and now will turn to guys like Kendall Wright and Deonte Thompson at the position. We should see more targets for RB Tarik Cohen as well.

Bears | Kevin White will be placed on IR    Mon Sep 11, 02:32 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (scapula) will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list after fracturing his scapula in Week 1, according to head coach John Fox. Surgery is a possibility.

Footballguys view: A first-round pick in 2015, White has barely played during his pro career with only 5 appearances so far in the NFL. This injury could require surgery and that likely knocks him out for yet another season. The Bears now have Kendall Wright, Markus Wheaton and Deonte Thompson as their top three options at the WR position.

Bears | Kevin White likely done for season    Sun Sep 10, 08:28 PM

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (collarbone) is believed to have suffered a broken collarbone in Week 1 against the Falcons and he will need season-ending surgery, sources said Sunday, Sept. 10.

Footballguys view: Kendall Wright could be a full-time player now, but it doesn't seem like the Bears are too eager to throw downfield a lot this year. There probably isn't a choice play to target in White's stead, especially with Tarik Cohen's emergence.

Bears | Kevin White injures shoulder    Sun Sep 10, 03:47 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury in Week 1 and will not return.

Footballguys view: Mike Glennon didn't exactly invigorate the downfield passing game in the loss to the Falcons. Even if White wasn't hurt, he might not have been in a good place to survive the Week 2 waiver wire runs in fantasy leagues.

Bears | Kevin White healthy, expanding his game    Thu Jun 15, 11:37 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (leg, ankle) is practicing at full speed and working on expanding his route tree, and he said he has to show what he can do this season.

Footballguys view: Star potential has always been there with White, but injuries have knocked his pro career off track. If healthy, White can use his speed to get by defenders in the blink of an eye. He'll work as the no2 target in the passing game behind WR Cameron Meredith.

Bears | Evaluating Chicago's WRs    Mon Jun 5, 09:43 AM

Chicago Bears WRs Cameron Meredith (thumb), Kevin White and Markus Wheaton (shoulder) are considered locks to make the 53-man roster, in the opinion of Chicago Tribune writer Dan Wiederer. WRs Victor Cruz, Kendall Wright, Josh Bellamy, Deonte Thompson and Daniel Braverman are considered to be on the bubble. WRs Tanner Gentry, Rueben Randle and Titus Davis are viewed as long shots for the final roster.

Footballguys view: Meredith and potentially White have fantasy value, but there's not much else that gets us excited here. Wheaton couldn't stay healthy or impress during his time with the Steelers. Cruz is a great story (and a great dancer) but not a great fantasy asset. We're a bit intrigued by Gentry in super deep dynasty leagues as his 49 targets of 20 yards or more in 2016 led the FBS (per PFF). That's about it really...and don't expect the Bears passing game to light the world on fire no matter if Mike Glennon or Mitchell Trubisky is the starter at quarterback.

Bears | Kevin White working on basics    Thu May 25, 12:28 AM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White has spent the last few months working to align his stride after a stress fracture in his left tibia ruined his rookie season and a left fibular spiral fracture and severe ankle ligament damage cost him 12 games last season, according to the Chicago Tribune's Rich Campbell.

Footballguys view: White has a lot to catch up on after missing his rookie season in 2015. A first-round pick in 2015, White needed to refine his route-running ability coming out of college...and that's still the case. He should be considered a potentially high upside WR5 for fantasy owners. White will compete for targets with Cameron Meredith in the starting lineup.

Bears | Kevin White 'looks very healthy'    Sat May 13, 11:47 AM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White has been limited to four games in his first two years due to injuries, but head coach John Fox appears to like how his third season is starting.

Footballguys view: White had amazing ability two years ago, but have these injuries robbed him of his speed and playmaking skills? We'll have to wait and see. We still have stock in White in dynasty formats as it's tough to let go of a former first-round pick (and we're just stubborn sometimes). Fantasy owners in redraft leagues should look at him as a late-round flier. He's WR59 (12.07) in 12-team PPR leagues at this time.

Bears | Kevin White not running yet    Sat Jan 7, 01:41 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (leg) said he has not started running at this point but expects to be ready for offseason workouts.

Footballguys view: White had the makings of a superstar receiver coming out of West Virginia in 2015. His pro career has been derailed by injuries to the same leg. He's had two surgeries on the same leg, and White has played in only four NFL regular season games because of it. Time will tell if White can get healthy -- stay healthy -- and play up to the enormous potential he once had.

Bears | Kevin White should be ready for offseason    Mon Jan 2, 12:43 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (leg) is expected to be ready for the offseason program as he completes his recovery from a spiral fracture of his fibula, according to the Chicago Sun-Times' Adam L. Jahns.

Footballguys view: A top-10 pick in the 2015 NFL draft, White has only played in four games over two years in the NFL. In four appearances this year, White was targeted 36 times and hauled in 19 catches for 187 yards. If healthy, he'll compete with Cameron Meredith to be the Bears no.1 WR in 2017.

Bears | Kevin White won't return in 2016    Mon Nov 21, 11:11 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (leg) will not come back from the Reserve/Injured list this season, according to beat writer Brad Biggs. He will go into his third NFL season in 2017 with 191 total snaps under his belt, or the equivalent of about three games through two pro seasons.

Footballguys view: Injuries have held back White's pro career, and dynasty owners don't really know what they have in him. There is great potential there -- if he's ever healthy and if these injuries haven't robbed him of some of his natural ability.

Bears | Kevin White will have surgery    Mon Oct 10, 03:03 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (leg) is expected to undergo surgery on his broken left fibula this week, according to head coach John Fox.

Footballguys view: The team thinks White could still return this season. If he does come back, Week 13 is the earliest he could return. This surgery puts that into question, and it is another season that is shortened due to injury in two years.

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (ankle, leg) will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list because of a high ankle sprain as well as a fractured fibula. White could return to the lineup in eight weeks.

Bears | Kevin White's role to be simplified?    Fri Sep 16, 09:12 PM

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White's responsibilities could be simplified, offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said Friday, Sept. 16. '[We need to] just continue to make sure we're putting him in situations to be successful,' Loggains said. 'Make sure that we don't make the route tree too much for him and make sure that we're finding a good role in the offense for him as he continues to grow.'

Footballguys view: White isn't ready to be put in fantasy lineups yet, but at least the Bears sound willing to meet him halfway. He is an incredibly talented player from a physical standpoint, but this is basically his rookie year after he missed all of 2015 with a stress fracture in his shin. He's only worth an end of the bench stash right now.
