NFL | J.J. Watt not interested in coaching    Thu Feb 9, 01:08 PM

Recently retired DE J.J. Watt (Cardinals) reportedly has no interest in becoming a full-time coach anytime soon, according to Matt Young of the Houston Chronicle.

Footballguys view: With Demeco Ryans hired as the new head coach of the Texans, some have speculated that Watt would want to go back to Houston and coach. That's not the case, but Watt did say that he could "pop in and talk to the boys" if asked. For now, Watt is going to enjoy his retirement but eventually could wind up on TV or as a coach.

Cardinals | J.J. Watt retiring after season    Tue Dec 27, 12:59 PM

Arizona Cardinals DE J.J. Watt announced he intends to retire after the 2022 season.

The no.11 pick in the star-studded 2011 NFL draft, Watt was nearly unstoppable during his prime with the Houston Texans.   Cardinals | Week 4 injury report for Arizona    Fri Sep 30, 02:49 PM

Arizona Cardinals DT Rashard Lawrence (hand), LB Ezekiel Turner (ankle) and WR A.J. Green (knee) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 4 versus the Carolina Panthers. C Rodney Hudson (knee), DE J.J. Watt (calf), LB Zaven Collins (shoulder), WR Rondale Moore (hamstring), PK Matt Prater (hip) and WR Marquise Brown (rest, foot) were limited in practice Friday, Sept. 30, and are listed as questionable. TE Zach Ertz (rest) and OT Kelvin Beachum (rest) were not given a practice designation for a second straight day Friday but are expected to be available.

Footballguys view: It's possible that Moore could play this week, but Kliff Kingsbury said he wanted to see him run pre-game before making a decision. Marquise Brown was not on the injury report yesterday, so this is something to watch. The Cardinals play in the late game slot, so you'll have to have a hedge in case Brown is inactive, and Greg Dortch may not be a reliable play if both Brown and Moore are active.
