Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Quez Watkins (Eagles) signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Watkins ran a 4.35-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine in 2020. | Footballguys view: Watkins has a ton of speed to blow by defenders. He can become a favorite deep target for QB Jalen Hurts in 2023 if he plays up to his potential. A sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Watkins is coming off a down season in 2022. There's nothing like a bounce-back season in a contract year. Let's see if Watkins can do just that. |
