Retired NFL DE/OLB DeMarcus Ware was hired Wednesday, June 13, by the Denver Broncos as a pass-rush consultant on a part-time basis, according to NFL Network's James Palmer.
| Footballguys view: It will be great for the Broncos to have a resource like Ware around. In this role as a consultant, Ware can dip his toe into the coaching waters without having to sacrifice a ton of time. The Broncos won a Super Bowl (50) with Ware as a defensive leader, and guys like Von Miller and Bradley Chubb should greatly benefit from his presence/guidance. |

Denver Broncos LB DeMarcus Ware (back) has a three-year contract that expires at the end of the 2016 season. Ware, who was placed on IR on Wednesday, Dec. 28, has indicated he'd like to play at least one more season, with his preference to stay in Denver.
