Footballguys view: Some thought Ward would end up in Arizona where he could be reunited with Ken Whisenhunt. The team needs help at the WR position, but Ward is nowhere near the player he used to be. The Jaguars may be a landing spot for Ward, but we can't imagine many teams interested in the veteran WR.

I do feel that I still have more football left in me and I am looking forward to playing in the NFL, again, this upcoming season,' Ward said in a statement.

Footballguys view: It's going to be very odd seeing him in a different jersey. He's not the same player he used to be but we could see him reuniting with Ken Whisenhunt in Arizona.

And I understand the ramifications - we have the cap number and stuff, but I want to be here.'

Footballguys view: We don't want to see Ward with another team, so perhaps by reducing his salary he could stay with the team that drafted him.

Each of those numbers were his lowest since his rookie season of 1998.

Footballguys view: We're witnessing the end of Hines Ward being a factor in the Steelers passing game. Simply put, Cotchery is doing more with his targets than Ward is. Hines is one of the greatest Steelers of all time but shouldn't be much of a fantasy factor going forward.

Updating a previous report, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Sunday, Nov. 6, after the Week 9 game against the Baltimore Ravens that WR Hines Ward (concussion) had concussion-like symptoms, which is why he did not return. However, Tomlin said the concussion is 'minor.'

Footballguys view: Ward might not miss next week based on this, but the pattern of nicks and bumps as an older player is clear. Expect Antonio Brown to retain value down the stretch.
