Eagles | Mike Wallace listed as questionable    Fri Jan 11, 05:57 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Jan. 11, and is listed as questionable for the Divisional Round playoff game.

Footballguys view: Wallace has made it through two games this year...with only three targets and zero receptions. This ankle problem has plagued him for most of the year but he could make it onto the field in the Divisional Round. If Wallace does play, he's so far down the pecking order we're not expecting a lot of looks to go his way.

Eagles | Mike Wallace logs limited practice Thursday    Thu Jan 10, 06:52 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace (ankle) was limited in practice for the second straight day Thursday, Jan. 10.

Footballguys view: Wallace has only appeared in two games for the Eagles in the 2018 season. Coming off IR/Designated to Return, Wallace has yet to be active. We'll see if he can get the nod to play against the Saints in the Divisional Round. Even if Wallace does play, he'd only have a reserve role in the Eagles offense.

Eagles | Mike Wallace day-to-day    Mon Jan 7, 01:06 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace (ankle) remains day-to-day, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Footballguys view: We'll see if the speedster can get out there against the Saints in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Wallace participated in three limited practices leading up to the NFC Wild Card game against the Chicago Bears but he did not play. If Wallace does get on the field, he would see a limited amount of targets behind guys like Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and Golden Tate.

Eagles | Mike Wallace returns from IR    Mon Dec 24, 04:36 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace (leg) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Dec. 24. Additionally, CB Josh Hawkins is being promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.

Footballguys view: Wallace could actually play a role for the Eagles in Week 17. His deep speed is a welcome asset for the offense as Wallace could take the top off the defense while clearing out space underneath.

Eagles | Mike Wallace out indefinitely    Mon Sep 17, 12:40 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace (leg) suffered a fractured fibula in Week 2 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Footballguys view: The Eagles will not place Wallace on the Reserve/Injured list at this time. That's a sign that they expect him to come back from this injury in less than eight weeks time. Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is no lock to play in Week 3, so the Eagles are especially thin at the wide receiver position.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace (undisclosed) was carted off the field with an undisclosed injury during the first quarter of the Week 2 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Sept. 16.

Footballguys view: The Eagles are very shorthanded on offense, with DeAndre Carter and Shelton Gibson now forced into key roles. This is going to be an active week for the Eagles in transactions. Nelson Agholor and Zach Ertz should dominate targets for the rest of the afternoon.

Eagles | Mike Wallace to be more involved?    Wed Sep 12, 08:10 PM

Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles said of WR Mike Wallace that 'we need to get the ball in his hands.'

Footballguys view: Wallace is a speed receiver who is supposed to take the top off the defense. He might not be as fast as he used to be, but in his role we'd have to see Foles take a few more deep shots in Week 2.

Eagles | Mike Wallace gets behind defenses    Sun Jul 15, 02:30 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace has nine receptions of 40 or more yards over the last two seasons. By comparison, the Eagles have 14 such plays over the same span as a team.

Footballguys view: Wallace has been reasonably productive in the low voltage Ravens passing game, so he could have best ball and deep league matchup bye/injury value in a much better offense. He'll be on the early season waiver wire watch list.

Eagles | Mike Wallace transitioning nicely    Fri Jun 8, 01:34 PM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace 'looks the part' as he attempts to secure a starting receiver job this summer, according to Jimmy Kempski of the Philly Voice.

Footballguys view: Wallace is a veteran receiver who has a game built on speed. He's there to be a 'lid lifter' for the Eagles offense. Wallace will compete in the pecking order at wide receiver behind Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor.

Eagles | Mike Wallace near incentive date    Fri Apr 13, 09:49 AM

Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace will earn a $585,000 incentive Monday, April 16, if he weighs less than 250 pounds.

Footballguys view: That's an interesting incentive...especially since Wallace lists around 200 pounds. It's not like he's Eddie Lacy, as Wallace is rather skinny. Oh well, it's an easy payday for the veteran receiver.

Eagles | More on Mike Wallace's deal    Thu Mar 22, 06:29 PM

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles WR Mike Wallace's one-year contract is worth $2.5 million, according to a source. Wallace could make more with incentives.

Footballguys view: It's not a huge contract so they aren't risking much. Wallace is a decent vertical threat, but he's faded the last few years. Still, he might have some value if Carson Wentz is back and healthy.

Ravens | Baltimore open to re-signing two WRs    Sat Mar 17, 03:40 PM

Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said the team is still open to re-signing free-agent WRs Mike Wallace and Michael Campanaro even though they have signed WRs John Brown and Michael Crabtree.

Footballguys view: Brown is basically a younger version of Wallace, while Crabtree becomes the team's best receiver. They may be open to a return for both Wallace and Campanaro, but there may not be much of a role for either one if they stay with Baltimore this season.

Ravens | Week 17 game recap for Ravens    Sun Dec 31, 08:19 PM

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco completed 25-of-47 pass attempts for 203 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. RB Alex Collins ran 20 times for 78 yards and a score while adding 18 yards on two receptions. RB Javorius Allen tacked on 37 rushing yards on five attempts. TE Benjamin Watson had a team-high 61 yards on seven grabs. WR Mike Wallace was targeted a game-high 13 times, finishing with five catches, 40 yards and a TD. WR Michael Campanaro was good for three receptions and 36 yards.

Footballguys view: A late defensive breakdown on 4th and 12 cost the Ravens a playoff spot. Collins established himself as the lead back in the second half of the year, but the passing game had to strive to be mediocre this year. The Ravens are in an unfamiliar place in the Flacco era, eliminated before the playoff begin.

Ravens | Mike Wallace fully practices    Thu Dec 28, 04:37 PM

Baltimore Ravens WR Mike Wallace (knee) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 28.

Footballguys view: Wallace is poised to have a pretty good day against an awful Bengals team. The receiver has had several solid games in a row and if he hasn't found the end zone recently, he's getting enough overall targets and production to feel comfortable expecting WR2 numbers from him.
