The Philadelphia Eagles have promoted RB Matthew Tucker from the practice squad and released CB Jordan Poyer. The team is expected to bring back Poyer after Week 7's game against the Dallas Cowboys, perhaps by adding him to the practice squad.
| Footballguys view: Tucker was activated off the practice squad because Chris Polk (shoulder) has been ruled out for the Week 7 game against the Cowboys. He'll likely be moved back to the practice squad when Polk is healthy. Tucker will serve as the RB3 behind LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown. He's a straight line power back who can get to top speed in a hurry. Tucker has little wiggle to his game, but runs with a determined straight-line style. |

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed undrafted free-agent LB Jake Knott (Iowa State), RB Miguel Maysonet (Stony Brook), C Kyle Quinn (Arizona), DL Isaac Remington (Oregon), WR Russell Shepard (Louisiana State), DL Damion Square (Alabama), OG Matt Tobin (Iowa), RB Matthew Tucker (Texas Christian) and P Brad Wing (Louisiana State). Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
| Footballguys view: Deep dynasty league owners need to keep an eye on Maysonet and Shepard here. Maysonet is a compact runner who was hyper-productive in college at Stony Brook. He averaged 151.1 rushing yards per game which ranked second in the nation. He didn't just beat up on weak competition as evidenced by his 158 yard performance against Syracuse. He's a violent runner with quickness. Shepard came to LSU as the number one athlete in the nation and initially tried his hand at quarterback. He transitioned to wide receiver and never developed. He's an intriguing deep prospect. |

Anderson and Michigan State RB Le'Veon Bell checked in at 4.60 seconds, while Oklahoma State RB Joseph Randle managed a time of 4.63 seconds.
