The Denver Broncos will be missing several defensive bodies in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals. DT Marcus Thomas (shoulder), D.J. Williams (elbow) and DT Ty Warren (triceps) are locks to be inactive. DL Elvis Dumervil (shoulder) said he won't play for the first few weeks, and CB Champ Bailey (hamstring) might also be out. If Bailey can't play, CB Cassius Vaughn will likely be the starting left cornerback, with CB Jonathan Wilhite playing the slot in nickel packages. DLs Derrick Harvey, Jason Hunter and Robert Ayers will likely rotate if Dumervil can't suit up.
| Footballguys view: We like A.J. Green vs Cassius Vaughn more than we do Green vs Champ Bailey. The Broncos defense will have a hard time stopping Cedric Benson and the Bengals ground game. |
