Lions | Detroit adds Mark Thompson Wed Jan 2, 03:21 PM
Free-agent RB Mark Thompson (Jets) was signed to a Reserve/Futures contract by the Detroit Lions Wednesday, Jan. 2.
Footballguys view: Thompson measures in at 6'1" 232 pounds and has a hard-charging style as a runner. There's not a lot of wasted motion when he's running the rock. We'll watch this power back but only in super deep dynasty formats. |

Jets | Multiple players worked out for Jets Thu Sep 6, 11:44 AM
Updating previous reports, the New York Jets on Wednesday, Sept. 5, worked out free-agent OLs Will Holden (Cardinals) and Rees Odhiambo (Seahawks), DLs Cornelius Washington (Lions), PKs Jon Brown (Bengals) and Matthew McCrane (Cardinals), CBs Tony Lippett (Dolphins) and Josh Robinson (Buccaneers), LB Hayes Pullard (Chargers), WR Hunter Sharp (Giants) and RB Mark Thompson (Ravens).
Footballguys view: The Jets will keep throwing wood on the fire, hoping some of it isn't wet and catches. They need offensive line help, kicking help and some defensive depth but none of these guys is likely to move the needle in a big way. That's why they were on the street in the first place. |

Colts | Mark Thompson to visit Colts Wed Apr 11, 08:48 AM
Florida RB Mark Thompson will visit the Indianapolis Colts next week.
Footballguys view: Thompson had an interesting career with the Gators, never really getting a chance to be a featured back. He ended his career rushing for only 596 yards and two touchdowns in two years after committing to Florida as a top JUCO recruit. Thompson is big (6'2" 240 pounds) and runs in the 4.4 range. He can work as a banger between the tackles and has more burst than most backs his size. Thompson is considered a long shot to make it in the league as a priority college free agent. |
