Pete Dougherty and Rob Demovsky, of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, report Green Bay Packers LB Jeremy Thompson (neck) will meet with two specialists to determine his future in the league. Thompson said he still has soreness in his neck from his injury and still feels burning in his right arm at times. He has been able to do low-impact workouts and some non-explosive weight lifting. Thompson may not be able to play again if he has suffered long-term damage to the nerves in his neck.

Greg A. Bedard, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports the neck injury suffered by LB Jeremy Thompson (neck) is not considered to be career-threatening. 'Basically, they're calling it a spinal cord concussion,' Thompson said. 'We're treating it like stinger. It's hard to put a timetable on injuries like that because it's different in every case.' Thompson added he's not sure if he will be able to play again this season.

The Associated Press reports Green Bay Packers LB Jeremy Thompson (neck) was hospitalized for testing Friday, Dec. 4, after suffering a neck injury in a collision with RB Kregg Lumpkin during practice. Head coach Mike McCarthy said Thompson remained conscious after the neck stinger. The team classified the injury as a neck sprain and said Thompson would be kept overnight in hospital for further evaluation.
