Washington Redskins WR Devin Thomas was in a good position to make the final roster cuts, Saturday, Sept. 4, but he has yet to be told he'll make the team, reports The Washington Post's Jason Reid. In the team's third preseason game Friday Aug. 27, when starters typically play more, Thomas didn't play a single snap as a receiver. Head coach Mike Shanahan said he wasn't able to spread the ball around enough to get Thomas in, and he wanted to wait until the team's final preseason game Thursday, Sept. 2, to see him. Thomas has four catches for 78 yards this preseason and is one of only two Washington receivers that have caught a touchdown pass.
