Bills | Brad Smith visiting Tuesday Tue Apr 14, 12:47 PM
Free-agent WR Brad Smith (Eagles) is visiting with the Buffalo Bills Tuesday, April 14.
Footballguys view: Smith has played with the Bills before in his pro career, and he has experience working under new Bills head coach Rex Ryan. If added, Smith would only contribute as a reserve receiver and return man on special teams. |

Eagles | Friday injury report Fri Oct 31, 12:28 PM
Philadelphia Eagles S Nate Allen (hamstring) and WR Brad Smith (groin) are questionable for Week 9 against the Houston Texans. CB Brandon Boykin (hamstring), TE Brent Celek (back), OG Todd Herremans (biceps), C Jason Kelce (hernia), LB Mychal Kendricks (calf), WR Jeff Maehl (foot), LB DeMeco Ryans (groin) and CB Jaylen Watkins (wrist) are probable. All players practiced in full Friday, Oct. 31.
Footballguys view: Kelce is going to be a huge addition to the line, and Herremans is going to try to play through his biceps injury. Kendricks is also getting healthier and should help the Eagles defense. Allen has been a major liability in the secondary at times, so if he's out it shouldn't be a big deal for the Eagles. |

Eagles | Brad Smith to miss time Thu Oct 9, 11:43 AM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Brad Smith (abdomen) recently underwent surgery to repair a core muscle injury and will miss a few weeks, according to head coach Chip Kelly.
Footballguys view: Smith hasn't had a huge impact on the return game and none in the offense so this isn't too much more than a blip. He's not the player he used to be with the New York Jets. |

Eagles | Jordan Matthews rises depth chart Tue Sep 9, 10:24 AM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews is now officially ahead of WR Brad Smith as the No. 3 wide receiver on the depth chart.
Footballguys view: Matthews should've been there anyway. He was clutch in college at Vanderbilt, and the rookie could make similar plays for the Eagles this year. His fantasy value is somewhat low, but Matthews is certainly a player to monitor in dynasty leagues. |

Eagles | Jeremy Maclin practices Sat Aug 23, 02:05 PM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) practiced Saturday, Aug. 23. WR Brad Smith (undisclosed) also practiced.
Footballguys view: Good news for the Eagles here. Maclin's knee knocked him out last season, and now he's working his way back. The biggest hurdle may be mentally for the veteran wideout. Maclin seems like he's still thinking about the knee injury, and he's had a couple of scares in training camp and the preseason. |

Eagles | Jordan Matthews at No. 4 Tue Aug 5, 09:27 AM
Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews is listed as the fourth receiver, with WR Brad Smith as the slot receiver, on the first depth chart released by the team.
Footballguys view: We'll see if the rookie can move up the depth chart during the rest of training camp and the preseason. Matthews is a better route-runner than Smith, and he's also got better hands. We'd be surprised if the rookie was fourth on the depth chart at the start of the regular season. Chip Kelly has said that the first team runs the whole playbook and Matthews development will be aided by more reps with the 2nd team. We wouldn't read too much into this. |

Philadelphia Eagles WRs Jordan Matthews and Brad Smith are expected to be options for the slot receiver job this upcoming season. WR Riley Cooper could also see time in the slot if Matthews performs well during training camp and lines up as an outside receiver.
